I asked this in the "Isn't anyone watching?" thread, but I think it got lost. I'll copy and paste it here:
Could someone please tell me how Moon Dong-gi's death finally played out? I missed the beginning of the episode. I know that when the previous week's episodes ended, Chul-hyung was being asked to assassinate him, and he agreed but was looking for a way to get Moon out of there. When I tuned in, he was already dead.

And you know what? Now that I've seen his name in a thread title, I've realized that "Moon Dong-gi" sounds just like "Moondoggie," "Gidget"'s boyfriend.

I saw the title, and resisted checking into it and making the obvious quip, but you did it for me. What a relief! LOL. I hope someone actually answers your question though--this sort of thing can deflect all answers in favor of the joke...lol. Bo

Last week when Chul Hyung was about to shoot Master Moon, OH jumped in between his mentor and the gun, pointing his own at CH. A Korean stand-off of sorts.
As we join them again, OH pleads his case to CH to rethink his intent and help get Moon away from danger by allowing him to escape. As CH listens, Moon pushes OH aside and demands CH follow through with his ordered assignment. Before OH can protest, CH shoots Moon in the heart.
Jong Ja hears a gunshot and runs to Master Moon's quarters to find both OH and CH in hysterics as Moon is mortally wounded. They plead with him to hold on, but he is fatally wounded and dies in OH's arms after telling them he wants to join his brother teh Baron. CH is remorseful now that his teacher is dead. Jong Ja is devastated, as is Oon Hyuk.
The camp builds a funeral pyre and sets it aflame. Another sad end to a major character who was only doing what he thought was right. I don't even remember if Moon actually killed anyone the whole show, but I imagine he must have at some point, I just don't recall.
He is essentially killed for nothing but political reasons as the camp is soon overwhelmed by Chang's men. They want to kill everyone, but the AH that ordered Moon's assassination insists on them following the Geneva Convention and taking them all prisoner.
I hope that filled in what you missed.

Wow, that's rough. I wonder what we are supposed to learn about Chul-hyung from this. That he desperately needs to believe in communism, so he feels he must do what the committee says? I can't believe he really shot Master Moon. He really is a "true believer."
Thanks, zorro. I'm a little dense and don't understand your last paragraph about Chang and AH, so I must have missed a little more than that. Are you saying that the people who ordered the assassination arrested our commies? Or maybe you mean Park Chang-ju wanted to kill 'em all? (Not surprising, if so.) I think that's about where I came in. The first thing I remember seeing is Ke-hee deciding to go back to Oon-hyuk (I guess he tried to send her to safety) and being arrested at gunpoint; the others tried to escape/retreat and got shot up and ultimately taken prisoner by Mr. Evil himself, the rapist Park Chang-ju.

AH is polite abbreviation (you can figure it out) for the Commie officer that was sent from the Committee leaders to issue the order to kill Moon.
And yes, Chang wanted to kill them all after they were captured, but AH talked them out of it.
And Hae Kyong was escorted from the camp to where she could continue on to a nearby cave with provisions for a week courtesy of OH. He told her to hide there until it was safe to go to her old hometown and meet up with her mother. She stops after a few steps and decides she can't leave and starts back to the camp. She runs right into a search party from Chang's troop, and is immediately arrested.
As far as Chul Hyung is concerned, he frustrates me to almost no end. He needs to think outside the box. I always wonder why he, as the General, is often over ruled by OH who is of lower rank but superior intellect. I think I know why after seeing the last few episodes.

Aigu! Hae-kyong, like everyone else in this drama, can't seem to make a right choice or a permanent one. Last episode, all she wanted was to be with her mother in their hometown of Hamheung. Or was it her fiance (Dong-won?) she wanted to be true to? No, it was Oon-hyuk she would never forget. Or maybe she hated Oon-hyuk for being a commie....
Anyway, thanks very much again. Well said about Chul-hyung. I guess he's a general because the NK leaders wanted someone who was a real do-or-die guy. Doesn't make him a great leader, though.

I'm guessing the Hae Kyong incident was an artistic device for her and Dong Woo to meet, since he had been placed on the sidelines. But it sure didn'make Hae Kyong look any better. D=
The last eppy was very dynamic, it'll be interesting to see just how it all is tied up on Sunday.
