DC- And your calling is a soldier’s wife.
MOM- Don’t remind me. Let’s go.
(The father is at job interview. He’s trying to make a good impression. He told them the year when he was born. Interviewer calculated his age, and they said that he was too old for what they had in mind. Walking out you could see he is depressed.)
(Next scene it’s pitch black with shadows, and people screaming is heard. Milchil is one of the actors as a ghosts.)
(Seolchil is at the base having her troops line up and do roll call. They are doing a routine. And she is commanding them what to do.)
(At a café, Seolchil hands Milchil an envelope with money)
MC- What is this?
SC- That’s all I have
MC- (She looks into the envelop) Are you kidding?
SC- You’re not in a position to reject any assistance
MC- Thank you for coming. I don’t need your help
SC- Milchil
MC- (Her phone rings) I’m on my way. Which hotel is it? I see. Bye.
SC- Where are you guys going?
MC- That’s none of your business
SC- A hotel? Are you still doing that?
MC- Do you think I’m sleeping around?
SC- Don’t you care about mom? You shouldn’t be doing that.
MC- Why don’t you tell her. It’s your fault dad shaved my head completely bald last time!
SC- I couldn’t help it. I need to help you. If you do this again…
MC- You’re so pathetic. Hotels aren’t just places to sleep around in. Besides it’s my job
SC- It’s not a decent job.
MC- I’m not in the position to reject it. I have to make money
SC- Can’t you find a respectable job? (grabbing the envelope) Here take this.
MC- I said I don’t want it.
(At home the Mom is folding laundry, and dad is reading the classified section)
MOM- You’ve got a pension, and we have the rent from our store.
DAD- I know that, but I have to work
MOM- You’re too old and weak to work. Who’d hire you?
DAD- What!? Too Old?!
MOM- You’re over 60! You’re nothing but an old and withered piece of fruit! HAHAHA! That was pretty funny!
DAD- What did you say?
SC- (you could hear the gate swing open) I’m home.
MOM- Did you have dinner yet?
SC- Yes I did. What’s so funny
MOM- I having fun teasing your father.
DAD- You’re mother is being foolish. Go to your room
SC- Good night father. (she mouths something to mother to come to her room and talk)
MOM- I’m going to take her some strawberries to her.
