Boy oh boy, I don't know how many times I've seen these crazy as hell truck drivers in these dramas, they see a person standing there in the middle of the road, yet they don't go for the brakes, they choose to flash their lights and honk the horn...the person doesn't move, they'll go even faster, maybe that'll scare them off road, then they hit the brakes when they're 5 feet away, no attempt to dodge the person or anything, then if someone jumps out of the way, they'll continue to keep going, they don't even bother to stop and swear or anything, come on! Come up with something else...how about a police chasing some fleeing criminal or something?

You are SO right ovaridedis24 ... all I can figure is that these truck drivers must have gotten their licenses from George Ryan. Ya think?

I know I've seen the truck driver scene in more then one drama. But the only one that comes to mind right now is Winter Sonata. Its funny how it's always a truck, and there's never really any traffic around except for that one truck racing down the road.

George Ryan HAS to have something to do with this.

It also happened in "My Sweetheart." Remember when In-young was soooo depressed and purse-draggingly-slow that she walked into traffic, and what's-his-name had to save her? (Mr. Purple Collagen Lips is who I mean.) He got hit by the truck, too.

It also happened in "Dangerous Love"..(4PM Drama)... Main character Suwan, who is pregnant, slow-walks in front of speeding truck and ex-boyfriend jumps in to push her out of way...

Don't forget "Knocked out by Love" … in one of the last episodes Bokgu had to jump out and save Cha Eunsook from what must be the same truck they use in every drama.

Was it a truck that hit Joonsang in Winter Love Song/Winter Sonata?

It's funny, because from what I know about Seoul, the problem is the buses, not the trucks. My "source" (the Metropolitician in Seoul) says that the reason people don't complain about and really like the buses is because they get where you are going fast, and everyone just allows for them ramming through traffic like bats out of...well, you know.

It's like the great white whale or the shark in "Jaws". Last night Haru's mother gets killed by the *same* truck! They seem to gloss over the idea that she almost gets hit by one vehicle first, then proceeds without even looking to see if another is coming. Don't they learn as kids to look both ways? Who's next?

haha! funny but clever observation right there! in the kdrama, "All About Eve," one of the leading men was also bumped by the truck and died.
oooops! is that a spoiler?!? my bad! hit me with a truck right now! ;D
