Thanks, Sushimi. I think I was thinking of another K-drama title that we did not see here: "Oh! Pilsoong _______" something-or-other. Oh! Pilsoong Bong Soon-Young...they did air it here on Mon/Tues mornings, but it wasn't subtitled though.

Okay, perhaps I'm being too analytical but somebody mentioned on another thread that "not everything is as it seems". Think about the very first scene of the premiere episode: an elaborate con (illusion). Eunhye then assumes somebody else's identity to acquire a job. I could continue, but you get the idea. My point here is that before you fully condemn the doctor, don't forget that he mentioned that he grew up without parents. Yeah he's got some issues about his own self worth, but you have to be a bit clinical to perform that sort of work. I have a feeling that there's a tragedy lurking beneath that hard shell that is making it necessary to excel beyond his predecessor, Pilgoo, to affirm his own existence. I don't know, I'm making it up as I go, he could just be a meanie, as Eunhye's phone i.d. for him indicates.

V...after a couple years of watching K-Dramas, I've learned not to completely hate a character cuz they usually, somehow someway, turn out to be not such a bad person...unless of course, you know w/out a doubt, that they're a bad person...or if they're characters from "My Sweetheart, My Darling", geez, I hated all those characters ...but that's another story ;D...on another note, I have a feeling that the Drifter lady living w/ Principal Yeom and family is Doc. Park's mom.

Ooh! That's interesting! How did you come to that conclusion? Capt. V mentioned that Dr. Park doesn't have any parents (I missed a good portion of the first episode) and when the lady was talking to Eun-Hye after she had left the lab, she was telling her that she had a son who was very smart, plus she took great interest when she saw the pic of the doc in the paper...of course I could be wrong, but I dunno, just calling it how I see it.

I came to the same conclusion. I felt like they pretty much told us that when she first showed up, though I can't remember specifically why. Did she have a flashback, too?

No flashback for her, she showed up back in the 3rd or 4th episode, she had lost money to Day's father, Kang-Soo, that's when she ran into Pil-Goo and Padlock asking about his wherabouts...she had no place to go, so the Principal offered her a room, and that's why she's there now...I actually don't mind having her there, normally a character like that that's in a drama, I wish they wouldn't put in *cough* My Sweetheart, My Darling *cough*, but with her and the grand-daughter exchanging words back and forth, it's always funny. ;D

What do you think she does all day? Rummage through their belongings looking for money, or has she finally started to help clean and cook and do laundry? Probably she wouldn't mind joining Pil-goo to clean windows, just so she could hang around him, but I wish the principal would shame her into contributing. No more freeloading, lady!

Yeah, the men of that house are just too trusting, they should take a page from the grand-daughter and have her do her share of the work.

How awful for the grandaughter to be the only girl in the household. She's grown into quite the tomboy.

Yeah, even though she and Eun-hye were going through the same situation as she and the drifter are now, I think she was happy to have another woman around the house, it was a pretty nice scene when EH comes back to the house and was welcome with open arms, even by the grand-daughter.

She'll warm up to the 'drifter.' I'm sure that the woman wasn't just born a slob, and what not..... What's the kid's name, anyway?
