Farewell to Sorrow is the highest rated drama in Korea. SBS Lovers in Prague is a close 2nd though. LIP actually gets higher ratings in Seoul but FTS gets the higher ratings nationwide which is why it's #1.
In case you're wondering, episodes 49 & 50 air this weekend in Korea. However, according to what I read on Soompi, this drama has been extended to 60 episodes. That's probably true considering that there's nothing on the official site for the drama and/or the KBS schedule, that says that 50 is the final episode.

Fine. Have it your way. Even by our own phoney baloney standards of how history is presented, the AOW and YSS dramas had been extraordinary in their efforts to say someting important to the struggle and importance of individuals in their time in a way which reached out to us all.

Well, yes, I think we all agree on that, MC. But you seem to be peeved--about what? Bo

Yes, I'm unhappy that KBS isn't continuing to challenge their viewers, but I'm surprised they ever ran material like that. I guess I'm just being ornery to blow off steam, since I really do miss those shows. I am sorry I rained on anyone's parade, here.

Aigu. You provide your own special brand of entertainment, LOL.
I wish we had another historical just because there should be one, it seems so...wrong without some guys in hats yelling YOUR GRACE IS IMMEASURABLE (LOL).

By the way, in Knov1's original information I posted in this thread (post #1), it says there are four brothers, but I think there are really three. (I assume Knov1 got this info from MBC's website, so that's weird.) The one they list as the youngest brother is really the Chickenman's eldest son.

i am not hysterical, but i am lost. i have tried a few times to watch this program but it has nothing that interests me.
i hope that one day the historical dramas will air again, even if repeats, which would be most welcome.

It has been difficult. I know some will say"get a life", but after Christmas, we shortly head into a grey season in NY State. Like Luvarchfiend, I find that the continuing existence of the historical characters, though their lives be fickle and cut short, was a comfort to me.
