In MSMD, they frequently played a song that I LOVED. It was a ballad, and some of the lyrics were "I taste your strawberries, I drink your sweet wine..." I thought it was such a beautiful song and I would love to find it. If anyone knows the name of the song and/or the name of the singer, please let me know! You can also email me at tinydancer9678@yahoo.com. Thank you!!!

Those are the words to a John Denver song, called "Today”
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine A million tomorrows shall all pass away 'ere I forget all the joy that is mine, today
I’ll be a dandy, and I’ll be a rover You’ll know who I am by the songs that I sing I’ll feast at your table, I’ll sleep in your clover Who cares what the morrow shall bring
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine A million tomorrows shall all pass away 'ere I forget all the joy that is mine, today
I can’t be contented with yesterday’s glory I can’t live on promises winter to spring Today is my moment, now is my story I’ll laugh and I’ll cry and I’ll sing
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine A million tomorrows shall all pass away 'ere I forget all the joy that is mine, today
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine A million tomorrows shall all pass away 'ere I forget all the joy that is mine, today

If you search way back through this board, you'll find another thread about this song. I think this version is by the New Christie Minstrels, if I remember right.

Thank you guys!!! I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been having issues with my computer...grrr. I really appreciate the info and lyrics, you're the best. Kamsahamnida (not sure how to spell it!) P.S. I'm so upset that Farewell is over!
