When MIL slapped InYoung at the hospital I said, enough! After watching other Korean dramas, it was long past the time when they would give MIL a disease or serious accident so that she could develop some compassion.
I found this forum quite by accident and I have to tell you guys it beats watching the show! You reminded me why I love these dramas and just how juicy they get if you hang in there!
Thank you for reminding me that it is such a lovely escape and such fun to watch! ;D

Mercy, welcome to the forum! I've been here for almost a year. All our posters are really into the Korean soaps, and we're polite and considerate unlike other forums where there's nothing but insults and antagonistic posters.
Poor In-young has had so much stress and heart-ache with Ki-joon because of his mother. Ever since MIL first saw IY, her objective was to destroy their relationship, even more so when IY couldn't get pregnant. From the beginning, I was hoping that KJ would take IY far away from there, even to America.

Dear Sandy, Thank you for the warm welcome! As much as MIL makes me pull my hair out, I know that her character helps create the tension that makes the others seem so vulnerable. The true character of a person is tested when they are under the most adverse circumstances...could anything be worse than living with Screech Mom? I was wondering how y'all felt about the spoilers. At first I was so very careful to avoid them and now I can't help but take a peek.

Hi and welcome, mercy! Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself here. About the spoilers, I don't ever want to know anything before it's shown, and so I never look at the spoiler thread. I don't even like hints in a non-spoiler thread that someone knows what's going to happen, because when they "hint" they tend to give away more than they think they're giving away. That's just me.

Yes, Mercy, we're pretty spoiler-phobic here. (And if people are not, we make them that way, LOL.) I'm glad you're here. I don't usually watch every single episode of this drama, just enough to know what's going on, so I hear what you're saying. It can be irritating. But, the conversation here is entertaining.

Can some tell me if this show will ever have an ending? Or does it just go on forever? And why am I so facinated by this show? Never have I been so engrossed in a t.v. show and let alone a Korean one. I am far from being korean.

Can some tell me if this show will ever have an ending? Or does it just go on forever? confused, typically, these Korean daily dramas run for 6-8 months (120-150 episodes). Then, they get replaced by an entirely new daily drama. Welcome to the Wonderful World of K-dramas, confused! And may I add my welcome to you as well, mercy! I think I speak for everyone here in saying that we’re all looking forward to seeing comments from you in the weeks and months ahead! And, as for spoilers . . . well, I do try to avoid them. I recall happening upon a “Yellow Handkerchief" spoiler (that Sang-min would become terminally ill with cancer) and it really took something away from that terrific drama series for me. And I don’t care to let that happen again. Heck, I can hardly even go about visiting my old stompin’ grounds at the California Board, because they’re about two weeks ahead of my satellite broadcast of “My Sweetheart.” Just viewing the California “My Sweetheart” thread is like entering Spoiler City! So yes, the general rule here in Chicago is: spoilers are okay, but ONLY when posted in the specific spoiler threads! Anywhere else is a no-no!

The people here are awesome! I know this because I participate as time permits (so I come and go...like I saw YH, but missed OMR, now back for MSMD), but whenever I do come back, everyone is always so nice about helping out with any questions I may have to get me up to speed and I always appreciate that. Thanks Everyone!! ;D
As far as spoilers...I've always stayed away, until very recently...and now I'm hooked!!! I love to see that there is an update in the spoiler thread. I've even gone to the California board seeking more info...hee, hee. So don't go there, because you risk getting addicted too.

;D to all of you for your nice responses to my spoiler question...Lucy, TheBo and Mikey! Luvz, you are right that the spoilers are so seductive. But isn't it fun to take a little peek? Hate to say it but I was hoping to find that MIL had been hit by a Soju truck... I think I'll just go day to day and enjoy you darling people on this forum... I saw grandfather pumping gas tonight at his new job, practicing with the pump. I'm so glad he didn't go to away to the USA. He belongs with Mrs. Hen. But what about Soon-Mi? Does anyone ever remember seeing a female character like that on a Korean drama?

No, I haven't. I really like Sun-mi. I don't understand why she makes such a thing out of not wanting to get married. Not that everyone has to--I'm not--but someone should ask her why she is so definite and maybe she could work through it and marry In-chul after all. There's no one she likes better, and I still think they make a good match!

Thanks Mikey, I wasn't sure if in ten years EMIL would still be annoying me with that god awful face she makes everytime she opens her mouth
