I think this thread can transfer to any other show that drops something that was once thought to be important to the storyline....
Such as... Where Is In Chul's Motorcycle??? The last time we saw him riding it was when he and Sun Mi were caught dating and Sun Mi decided to break it off. He's been riding the bus with (and sometimes without) Mi Rung the past several eppys.

I will assume that In-chul sold his motorcycle back in order to be in good graces with his father.
This always happens in Korean dramas. Some things just drop out of the plot. I guess we have to assume what happened ourselves?

Not only that.... What happened to the kids that Gpa was tutoring? I mena, they plucked out the pepper seedlings, and never came back. One can only assume out of shame.. ^_^

Every time there is a thread like this I have to add the biggest dropped ball ever:
How did Jiyuen pay for all those expensive purchases when her sister ran off with all her cash. (From The Phoenix)
WE WANT ANSWERS!

I REALLY hope that In-Kyung going to America to study isn't My Sweetheart's way of dropping her from the show ...I still can't get over how they dropped Bok-ja off the show in The Phoenix, 'She went over to Australia for 3 years'...WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!

Whatever happened to Band-aid and his side-kick from My Precious Child? Band-aid's friend had a dangerous crush on Jee-hae (and I mean dangerous! This guy was stalking her...taking her pics and sending her lipstick) and all of sudden he disappeared? And who sent Hee-soo that text msg. that Jin-kook was with another woman?
As for The Phoenix, I don't know how Ji-eun paid for those shoes either. Her sister stole all the cash from her purse. As Ji-eun tried to pay, she knew herself that she had no money as she was looking thru her purse.
For My Sweetheart, those boys never came back for more tutoring sessions. In-chul's motorcycle is just gone?

Maybe the boys stole In-chul's motorcycle, so they have to lay low for a while ;D

You'e right Soju... the little thieves started out with something small like baby pepper seelings ... and went on to InChul's motorcyle. You just watch, next they'll brreak in and steal In-Chul's computer while grandpa and aunt are at their class... and without any explanation, grandpa and aunt will be taking cooking classes.or will enroll in medical school

Before In-young joined the publishing company there were 4 employees....two women and two men. Now, after she joined the company, there are only three employees...two women and only one man. What's going on?

ROCK ON! galacticchick for bringing up the missing linx in Phoenix, and ovaridedis24 for Bok ja's disappearance, and to lovely for reminding us of Band-Aid's disappearance from MPC...you all are all on my page! And ovaridedis24, I'm hoping the same thing about In Kyung's trip" to America, that it isn't her final one And yes, I too see the english students showing up with In Chul's bike!

This happens on American shows, too. On All My Children Tad's older brother went up to the attic to wax his skis and was never heard from again. On Happy Days, Richie's brother went to college and never came back (I don't think). And on original Star Trek, did the Kirstie Alley character (played by ?) get pregnant by Spock during his first ponfarr? Maybe that's why fan fiction is written, to tie up loose ends or to take the characters in directions we want to see.

What's going on? Look at that, the 4th guy was in this episode, seems a little too happy though, it's funny how in the second half of the show, he's not there again.

Maybe that's why fan fiction is written, to tie up loose ends or to take the characters in directions we want to see. This thread is hilarious. Such outrage! Gal-ck, let it go! I think Mi-ran must have paid to show her up!! LOL! Isn't it more important to know why My Will never called the police on Mi-ran when she stalked him, and how come Korean firemen don't know to pull people out of a fiery room BEFORE they put out the fire! You gotta stop listening to that disco music, it affects the brain... ;D Anyway, Ginny, maybe the Kirstie Alley character was played by Kirstie Alley. (Oy, I just couldn't let that pass.) Also, I believe I read recently that the story about AMC's Tad's brother (I think it was a younger brother) going up to the attic and disappearing isn't exactly what happened--he went to camp or something, but never came back. (I believe that character has recently been resurrected, though.) I agree--it's not just Korean dramas that have this problem. You probably hit the nail on the head with why fan fiction is written--to make a more satisfying story. But be that as it may, usually a story line is dropped for some banal reason like, the actor could not get along with the other actors or they did not have enough money to pursue that storyline, or (my favorite), the fans "didn't like it." But it probably just boils down to lazy writing. Bo
