Be strong, Kathleen. Don't peek. Aren't you glad your dinner party was last week?
A very satisfying episode in so many ways. So many mysteries resolved as we wanted them to be. And Sanghyuk is still a rat.
BUT.....there's tomorrow, and we think we saw Yujin going off by herself, and is JS going to have the surgery (and survive OK)? And are Sanghyuk's folks going to break up?
Great acting, especially by Bae Yong Jun (JS) and the man who plays Sanghyuk's (and JS's) father. Dad could barely contain himself when he told JS. And the look that came over JS's face as Dad told him was great--wide eyes that narrowed perceptibly as the thought sank in.
And do we still think that Mihee is evil or, as I do, tragic and not very strong?

How's this for a scenario for tonight's episode:
Kang Mihee, filled with remorse for the heartache her lies and deception have brought to Joonsang and unwilling to see him marry the daughter of her beloved, commits suicide. JS goes into a 3-year period of mourning and so can't marry Yujin. Yujin goes off to France for study and marries a handsome Korean emigre. Boy, does that mess everything up?
Remember, a good ending has to be a surprise but inevitable.

Just one question there- how did you know about 3-year mourning period in Korea?
3-year mourning period back in Joseon Dynasty required offsprings to live next to their parents grave when they die for average 3 years.
Of course it'd be ridiculous to uphold THAT in modern Korea and also should not have been upheld back in Joseon Dynasty for causing such a waste of time - but aside that, where did you learn that?

Where did I learn that? I don't know. I tend to have what is sometimes called a flypaper mind--things just stick there.
It may have been from WLS or it may have been from Yi Soon Shin--which was set in the Choesun Dynasty but in the 16th century, I think.

I was so relieved when I saw episode 25! Joon-sang and Yu-jin aren't related! Whoo-hoo! The Joon-sang and Yu-jin Together Forever Club rules ;D! Now if only we can get Joon-sang and Yu-jin to get together again Did you see Joon-sang's dad's smiling face when he was starring at his son?! It was amazing! He looked so proud of Joon-sang, which he should be. Hmmm...Sang-hyuk was NOT overjoyed when he found out, obviously. Say, does anybody watch the American show "One Tree Hill"? It's about two half-brothers that share the same father. I LOVE "One Tree Hill" and anybody who's interested, I'll supply the details on this American show.

Argghhh. After last nights episode, I wasn't sure I wanted to watch the ending. I've never seen so many characters determined to mess up their own lives as well as others! But I guess that's what makes a good drama. Ha Ha. Sanghyuk is such a selfish whining little nitwit. Besides trying to keep a girlfriend by getting sick & almost dying, he is so annoying I want to kick him. And I thought Joonsang was the strong one, but if he doesn't run right to Yujin and tell her the truth, I want to kick him too! And Yujin never can stand up for herself or say "no" to anyone. Makes me want to scream, and Cherin "who takes any crumbs Joonsang will give her to stay with him". Okay, I really want Joonsang to tell Yujin the truth, get back with her, then have the surgery (so what if he is on his last legs, he should spend his last hours with her) Guess I will have to watch tonight...can't stay away.

Forget the academy awards! Tonite's WLS is so much more anticipated by us then the folks who ga-ga over DiCaprio. I digress....
yes Chi8... I am indeed glad that my dinner party was last week. I can barely wait these less than two hours!
Your ending was going swimmmmmingly until you married off Yujin to somebody else. I know, I know....' endings should surprise but be inevitable.' Sorry, I'm like a little girl seeing Cinderella for the first time. Forget the glass slipper, Joonsang should give her another Polaris Necklace with a matching wedding ring.
Ok... I'll get off my pony now and go put my groceries away.
You will all be in my living room with me tonite. I've so loved sharing all these wonderful thoughts!

I can't believe Joonsang's mother. I really just let it out, I was like "What kind of bitch is she" She's sorry...she's sorry? You say sorry when you spill something, when you step on someone, you don't say you are sorry when nearly every single time you and your child have spent together has been a lie. She's lied to him from the beginning and I just don't understand why he would forgive her so easily. Number two, why didn't he tell Yujin that they weren't related. Okay, I guess because he wasn't sure if he was going to make it, but IMO the only thing worse than wasted talent is wasted time.
