what a great evening, to see the admiral back in the saddle and doing what he does best
glad to see that some promotions went through
and dae man! you're alive! i think it's so cute that he still has such spirit after losing the use of his legs. the way he was training the recruits while moving his body with his arms was too wonderful
when he banged his wooden bowl against the ground in support of the admiral, i actually stood up on my bed and started cheering.
can't wait for tuesday's episode. the battle of myongrang should be quite a spectacle.
chosun soogwon man seh!

i liked the episode too...but could that have actually happened -- a man in Dae-man's condition still fighting alongside his comrades (i'm talking back then, not modern times)?
i might start a new thread on this, but this episode also showed, to me, yet another thing that is hurting YSS' heart == even Kwon Jun is showing serious doubts about YSS. To me, i'm thinking is one of the last nails to YSS coffin (literally).
When we started YSS was an idealisitic smiley kid (the actor without the beard)...but over time, he seems to have lost more and more of his optimism, and i think becoming sp depressed, that by the end of the series (or ep. 4) that YSS wants to commit suicide, but is using that battle as a cover/ "honorable alternative" to that suicide.
Controversial? i'm sure...but perhaps worthy of its own thread?

I remember the scene when the troops were playing on the beach. One of the heavier soldiers that were supported by two guys fell. dae-man made a joke that bedding with too many women have made his legs wilted and weak. Then points to himself and said "just look at what happened to me. (an inside joke about dae-man's missing legs) when he banged his wooden bowl against the ground in support of the admiral, i actually stood up on my bed and started cheering. I never really understood this banging thing. But no one really wanted to support Yi in this scene at first. It was dae-man who was the first person to tap in as support. His banging bowl was the tapping alarm clock to wake everyones senses. Eventually everyone started to follow.
