Hideyoshi first appeared as Kwanbak in this drama. But suddenly he became as Taehap... Actually Hideyoshi got the "Kwanbak" from Tenjin right after he unionized Japan. But one year before Imjin war, he resigned from this position and gave it to his stepson. And became Taehap by himself. Kwanbak is similar to minister, and Taehap is similar to King. Yi Il He defeated by Gato at Sangju and flew away alone and report to the king about his fail to keep the site and go to Shin Rip but they are defeated again. As you know from the drama, Shin Rip committed suicide and Yi Il flewed away again. He got reward after the 7-year-war and became general again. but...in 1601, he arrested and was sending to Seoul(HanYang) under the charge of killed his man but on the way to seoul, he died from illness. Hope this information helpful.

Kwanbak is similar to minister, and Taehap is similar to King. Thanks for your info about Yi Il Dee, but there's a mistake in this statement. Hideyoshi was never king or emperor of Japan. He held the title of regent(Kampaku) in 1585 and Chief Minister (Dajo-daijin) in 1586. In 1592, he passed the post of regent to his nephew and called himself "Taiko" which was given to retired regents. Hideyoshi was like a prime minister in Japan. The emperor of Japan during the Imjin war was Emperor Go-YĆ“zei.
