I say the drama is good but he is greater person who showing on it. enjoy it tried to modify your link but it's not active. Chigirl I, too, tried to modify it, then tried a websearch, but it's not working. - Bo

sophie22 omitted a hyphen after e. So, the link would be www.e-sunshin.com/eng/index.htmAs always, it seems that the Korean version of the site has somewhat more info than other versions. You may also look at the Korean version of the site for some images and stuff.

I feel so patriotic at these times... There is not one man I respect more. as the drama says, he is immortal.

No one is immortal. We all must die sometime, whether it is in 2 minutes or 2 years. However, his legacy and his remarkable feats are legendary, and possess immortal status. If he had not died the way he had died, no one would have considered him even half the legend he is nowaday. And no one would accept that King Sonjo was a king of incompetence.
And even if this might sound rude, his life is actually very simple summed up. He was living in a time when the government was corrupt, where the people were mistreated, and discrimination was strong. Where warfare was a mainstay, and all he could want was to get rid of these heinous invaders. He was a warrior, fighting to protect his country, however he was misunderstood many times along the way.

But cool. Immortal does not only mean to never die. from Merriam-Webster online:
Main Entry: im·mor·tal·i·ty Pronunciation: "i-"mor-'ta-l&-tE Function: noun : the quality or state of being immortal : a : unending existence b : lasting fame
I think one of the many qualitites that made him so remarkable in his time or any time was the fact that he did not fall into the political world and kept to his one goal. That would be to free the people of his country from the Japanese invaders. I do agree on how misunderstood he was through his whole life it seemed.

What do you think I meant by "Admiral Yi is immortal?" Though his death is unfortunate, I agree with you that he died the greatest and most honorable way--as an enemy of the enemy on the battlefield. He died a hero's death after living a life of misunderstanding and frustration.
