Hello.
I'm in Korea, and came to this site through web searching. I've heard lots of foreigners watching IYSS and studying and reading about him. so, wanted to see it.
In Korea, the last episode aired yesterday. I don't want to be a spoiler but the episode made me cry and others who watched that episode. the official fan site is filled with posts saying "I was cried too."
But please don't take this drama is nothing but the truth. Won-kyun, Ryu sungryong, and Yi sunshin were not friends. they don't even known each other in their childhood. The king and general Yi never met in their lifetime.
Do you know Jung un who is in charge of cannon under general Yi? (I'm not sure about his spelling in English) Unlike this drama, Jung un was general Yi's loyal follower.
hope you can get same feeling like me when the drama ended. Royalty on your own country.....make wrong things right....never ever invade other country.....the war is the worst thing in the world.....something like that...

True facts that i know are...
1. The year of birth. Won gyun:1540, Ryu:1542, YSS:1545
2. Ryu sung ryong, YSS, and Won gyun each has different birthplace.
3. But according to 'Jing bi lok' which was wrote by Ryu, Ryu described YSS's childhood as a bully. It is true that Ryu and YSS was on intimate terms since they were children. Ryu might have moved his residence when he was very young.
4. A records, that these three men lived in the same town(gunchundong °Çõµ¿), really exist. But not when they were children. Because this town was small and there were not so many houses, the writer made up the stories...
