I have 20 online sources, and a textbook that SAYS 12 were Kobusken.
Would you like to see them?

Only 3 or 4 Turtleship had made through the Imjin-war. Any turtleship had not left at Myeong-ryang battle. because of No time, little soldiers at that time.

YSS kept a maximum of three turtle ships in his fleet during the entire war, all three sunk under Won Gyun's command. YSS would never build another turtle ship in his life time again, instead adding more and higher shields to the upper deck of surviving 12 destroyers to provide better protection for his troops.
Turtle ship became unnecessary as it was proven during the course of war that Japanese could not board Korean destroyers as long as a proper distance was maintained(Unless the commander happened to be someone like Won Gyun). Even the man who designed the turtleship himself would adopt some of Japanese ship building strategy and build a new warship that was lighter and used an array of spears instead of a heavy roof armor as boarding protection.

They are almost all Japanese sources. These refitted destroyers with a higher shielding(open roof) would almost certainly look like turtle ships to Japanese from their position.

Even Many Korean sourses have many faults about the turtleships and Yi soon shin. What was worse, Korean encyclopedias have many faults too. Imjin-rok(Joseon period novel with fiction and exaggeration), some novels and the present Korean encylopedias based on early 20C version give us bad sources. it will be modified gradually.
