Who was more dangerous, Japanese or Korean King?

Who was the Chosun king when the Dutch Sailor Hendriks Hamel got ship wrecked off of coast of Korea? If I'm not mistaken, he spent some decades as a captor of the hermit kingdom Chosun. This was definitely after the 1592 Imjin War. Maybe it was during the King Injo's rule? If not, who was the king after Injo?

Hendrick Hamel shipwrecked off the coast of Cheju (=Jeju) island in August 1653 (4th year of the reign of King Hyojong).
He met king Hyojong and stayed in Chosun during his reign and that of his son Hyunjong.

Hamel escaped from Chosun in July 1668.


- King Hyojong (second son of Injo) reigned between 1649-1659
- King Hyunjong (eldest son of Hyojong) reigned between 1659-1674

"Finalmente !! Viva!!!!"<- I spoke here in Italian. But they seem to be same with Spanish.

My Italian speaking is on the beginner level. But I can read newspaper slowly with dictionary. When I traveled in Italy, I spoke half-French half-Italian with lots of body languages when English wasn't helpful. It worked ! I was really content. ;D

I heard francophones can learn Spanish very easily but I've never tried to learn it. Perhaps I would do when I have an occasion to go to Spain or Latin America. But no plan and no budget !

Don't want to burst your fun,just wanted to point out and mention that your actually breaking the rules of proboards. They don't want people posting foreign lanuages on them.

Thanks moot. I checked the proboards rules. They are a bit vague in this area.
This is from the support boards.

It is ok to have short sentences or sayings, or a motto etc.
If you have members from another country on your board, you could put "please use English when posting, thanks" in their language.

Over use of foreign languages could be pushing it.

This does not in my opinion fall in the category of "excessive use".
