I wonder why you females think Kwon Jun is so good looking? . Yi Soon Shin's pretty too you know. My eyes wander towards that Japanese girl ;D. And this is irrelevant, but I'm getting annoyed by how the drama drags on so long with useless drama to get some acting in instead of getting to the butt whupping.

Useless? what do you mean by the word "useless"? The drama in not dragging on at all.
(Spoiler Alert!)
Recently, ep. 81~84 showed the hidden clues to the YSS's downfall. The conflict between YSS and Ming Chinese generals, the national military exam only for the Chosun navy, and the epidemic within the Hansan island etc. are meaningful in the context of the drama. Those scenes will make you understand why YSS will be arrested and tortured in the future by the court.
p.s. Yi Sun-shin in the history is not manly. I mean he is not a macho as you think. According to his diary and Yu Sung-ryong's book, he was an introspective scholar-like warrior. He was often poor in health during the war. He blubbered when his mother and son died. So, his surbordinated had to stop him from crying. That's why this drama depicts YSS like that. The manly warrior image of Yi Sun-shin was made up by the military dictatorship of President Park Jung-hee in the 1970s.

I guess females (including myself) like Kwon Jun because of his character which gives good impressions. He is sweet, calm and intelligent. He is an opposite of macho-type.
Mon ideal !!! ;D

I think Kwon is a good looking man, but I like him more for his personality. To me Yi Soon Shin is also a handsome man, I also love his strong convictions and beliefs. I didnt see this drama from the beginning, I would see bits and pieces here and there, but from what I've seen so far Yi Soon Shin was definetely a great man, who's love for his people and his country made him such a strong loyal warrior. I think the actor is doing an awesome job in portraying YSS. Same with Constable Kwon, he to was loyal and faithful to his country. And both him and YSS had such good hearts but at the same time were Warriors. I just love that, a good man with a good heart who knows when he has to fight, even if it might mean his own death. And he knows where he stands, regardless of the fact that other people might disagree with them. Well actually it seems like all of the Commanders and Lieutanants working under YSS command's were truly loyal to him and to defending the country. That unity is very hard to find nowadays.

Florel-
Do you think you can find a page like that with pictures of Constable Kwon? I can read and write Korean, but for some reason my computer won't read korean characters- it all looks like gibberish to me. All I can see are the pictures.

What Internet browser are you using? If you are using Explorer, I know you can go to the updating website and tell it to download Korean character ability. I'm sure other browsers have the same feature. I have a Mac at home, so it's no problem for me to see anything there, but at work it's sometimes a problem. If you tell us your browser (Firefox, Explorer, Safari, etc), maybe someone here can tell you where to download a fix. Bo

Hey Choko, then what about when they're removing the bullet out of his shoulder. Crying over his mother and son's deaths isn't girly (no offense to the women here ) IMO. and about women liking "sweet, calm, intelligent" males. Then why do women chase after pompous men who mistreat them? huh? huh?

I dated my share of "bad boys". Now I'm with a really sweet guy and wouldn't trade him for the world.

Hi Princess, The above link of Kim Wan's pics is a page on Yahoo Image Box. So there is no important text to read. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a similar page collecting Kwon Jun's (or other characters') pictures. I guess you could ask for them to our venerable image suppliers. I'm using Internet Explorer with Korean language package installed on it. Sometimes I have small problem to write Korean, but no problem to read them except some...rather... most Hanja letters. I didn't installed Hanja letter packages. They are useless because I've forgotten almost of Chinese letters I learnt in my youth. lol

According the news that I get from my mom's berating of Korean government people, Korea isn't doing too well. Yi Soon shin would be disappointed.

Countries are never as uniified during peace time as they during a war. Look at the US jut after 9/11. The Korean government today couldn't be doing a worse job then Chosun during the war. Is there any reason to think that the Korean military today doesn't have men that are loyal to defending the country?

I use internet explorer as my browser. Other than that, I have no idea what my computer uses. I'm not a techno-type person (I can barely get my ipod to work), so...
I appreciate you guys trying to help!
Meanwhile, we need more pics of Constable Kwon. Do we ever meet or see his family? He's at least in his thirties so he's got to be married already...
I wonder if Constable Kwon's wife is prettier than YSS's wife. That'll make an interesting confrontation.
