So I watched this episode last night and I was amazed at the fact that Yi Soon Shin didn't get mad at the minister (I don't know his name but he is the only one that follows YSS directions w/o complaining) for speaking his mind. I really like this minister, he seems to have a good and loyal heart. And I loved the fact that Yi Soon Shin took the advice to heart and did something about it. It does take a strong man to go back on his word. It was so cool the way they came up with those new rules to run things more smoothly and include all the commanders in the decision making.
What is the name of the commander who had the bird land on his arm? I think he is just hilarious. Everytime I watch him he cracks me up.
There is one thing I don't understand about the Japanese war. In one of the previous episodes, the Japanese said they were going to take over Chosun and the soldiers swore this with their own blood. But in last nights episodes, I saw the guy that was suppose to lead this war still in Japan. When do they plan on leaving?

Constable Kwan Jun was the one that told YSS what putz he was being with his commanders. He's a great character.
Kim Wan is the officer who had the bird land. Many of us call him Monkeyman Jr. after a similar character on another show.
Episode 47 takes place about a year before the Japanese invasion. I think the first battle between YSS and the Japanese takes place in ep 57.

So when the Japanese cut their hands and left to go to war, were they leaving to train and prepare themselves? Don't quote me on this, but it seems to me that when the Japanese held the big council meeting saying they would invade Chosun, they mentioned that they needed to build a few boats. I think the number mentioned was 2,000? Anyway, Hidoshi is supposed to be in charge of that...or was it building the castle... Hmm, hm-hmmm, hm-hmmmmmmmm...I'm not listening..... Bo

His name is Kwon Jun, the constable of Sun-cheon. Kwon Jun is favored by many young female IYSS fans. So cute... (a photo from ep.55) His name is Kim Wan, the constable of Sado garrison. Kim Wan is now very popular among Korean people, young and old, men and women all alike. Korean fans are calling him "Kim Wan Potter" ;D Admiral Yi Sun-shin was sent to the Left Jeolla(aka Cholla) Navy on February 13th, 1591. The Japanese troops would invade Chosun 14 months later. (on April 13th, 1592)

I like him alot. Even though I've only been watching this show for the past 2-3 weeks his one of my favorite characters. And he is quite handsome. Constable Kwon's awesome. And Kim Wan is hilarious -- what's with the exaggerated facial expressions and flamboyant mannerisms? There's this other guy whose name I don't know, but he looks like a beefier Kim Wan. I nicknamed him Lemonhead because he always looks like he just ate a lemon, kinda pucker-faced. I must be the only one who thinks Minister Yu is hot? *shrug* ;D He's so thoughtful and diplomatic and has an adorable smile. I practice kendo so I told my friend that I want to be Minister Yu's personal bodyguard (he doesn't appear to be adept with weapons) and follow him around like Nalbal does with YSS. My friend said "In that case, you'd be doing a lot of sitting." Hehe. I saw a ginseng commercial with Lee Jae-Ryong in it (comes on sometimes in the afternoons on channel 28) and was like "Wow, he's pretty cute even without the beard and the Mickey Mouse ears hat."

Is Minister Yu the one who is truly worried about the country instead of the whole Easterner/Westerner issue? Ah I like him alot too. He seems so nice and sweet and I love it that he cares about the people of Chosun instead of power like everybody else.

Instead of the Easterners/Westerners bickering with each other, he wants them to ban together against Japan's attack. Lately Yu's been hanging out with that courtesan chick a lot. I wonder what she has up her sleeve? She seems very rebellious and sharp...

Well I have seen that she is worried when he's worried and tries to do whatever she can to help him out.
Maybe she's secretly in love with him ;D

Constable Kwon Jun is a commissioned military officer not a civilian minister as are all YSS’s officer staff wearing blue and purple uniforms. Kim Wan is now very popular among Korean people, young and old, men and women all alike. Korean fans are calling him "Kim Wan Potter" ;D Yeah I thought Commander Kim Wan “Potter” was hilarious like Advisor Yi but I don’t think he’s greedy and a butt kisser yet like Advisor Yi. Just friggin lazy and a procrastinator like Homer Simpson or Bender from Futurama .
