I was wondering if anybody else noticed Master Dudel (one of the officers Yi soon shin disciplined) I'm not sure if that's Master Duduel. He looks like him with the high cheekbones, but his voice doesn't sound like his to me. But you may be right. I have a hard time distinguishing people beneath their different hair styles and facial hair, and I can never really tell some people's ages, if they're more older or more younger.

the venerable Minister Moon? oh that's it! AW and eowyn, i stared at that man and knew that i knew him....it has to be our minister moon. i think it is great seeing so many of our AOW actors in this production as well. there is a certain comfort in it.

What about YSS's lieutenant who has the priviledge of hitting the war drum? He looks like a character from AOW unless I'm wrong.

I'll have to run the tape. If that was Master Duduel crawling on the beach, all I can say is "One two! One Two! Must I punish you all day?"

I know this is is strictly for AOW diehards such as myself, but I believe the actor who portrays Takatora Todo in YSS played the heroic, rebellious Viceroy of West Capitol on AOW.
I might have to double check my compass for directions but he was the guy who personally challenged Yi Ui-min to a duel upon the Archfiend's promotion to high general by Yi Ui-bang and later led an ill fated insurrection leading to his execution by Du Kyung-seung.
If you'll excuse me, I'll now make my way to the training base at Mt. Mita and await the eventual arrival of the rest of the group.

Viceroy Cho Wi'chong. It was also his son who duelled with Ui-bang, ending in the son's death. I remember that the Viceroy surrendered to Du Kyung-seung and was allowed to take his own life. Also, that it was sad that he had failed in his rebellion. I looked up his picture in my AOW scrapbook. He does look like one of the Japanese warriors, but I can't tell which one, for I have all their names and faces mixed up! edit - oh yeh, I saw just Todo's picture in another thread. Viceroy could be him, totally....I think!

Not exactly AOW related ( best Korean show I've seen so far) but Mujik (the Chun-Su's associate) was spotted by me in Damo. playing the Left Police Bureau officer and big fan of main character. Also I've spotted our beloved Constable Kwon in another historical drama Dae Jang Geum ( Jewel in the Palace) I think there are more YSS actors in Dae Jang Geum , but I only seen one ep so far

Hey, ShawScope, I've seen old "Mu-jik" in a few shows, such as the modern drama One Million Roses. I can't think of any offhand, of course (LOL), but I think he must be a popular guy in K-drama land. In a different thread on this board, we discussed the subject of "recycled" actors and you'd probably find a good list there. One I remember is that YSS's pottery teacher/master was the evil Sir Oh in DJG and also a major character on OMR.
