After ministers' photographic list, I undertake to make a note on Korean military officials. All important military officials in the drama are historical personages except those who are indicated as "fictional". About Japanese Samurai, please refer to the thread opened by Skinz : Info - Japanese WarriorsRecently KBS updated Kato Kiyomasa's photo. Kato Kiyomasa (probably) looking at Konishi Yukinaga Always no photo of Todo Takatora, the most handsome guy among Japanese characters in the drama.

General Shin Rip (1546-1592) - from Ep. 37 - Shin Rip made his fame in 1583 by putting down the Jurchens' rebellion leaded by Itangkae, a naturalized Jurchen in Chosun. He was the father-in-law of Prince Shinsung, the most cherished son (4th son) of the king. He fought against Konishi Yukinaga at the battle of Tangeumdae (Chungcheong Province) in 1592. His strategic choice of the battlefield has brought about lots of discussions and debates. - MOM of episode 57 General YI IL (1538-1601) (handsome guy !) - Ep. 11-16 (fictional) and from Ep. 25 (historical) - Yi Il distinguished himself at battles against Jurchens before the Japanese invasion. In April 1592, he was defeated at the battle of Sangju (Kyungsang province) by Konishi Yukinaga. This battle is not described in the drama.

Oh~~ Choko, you are adorable ! Thank you for these great photos !
Do you also have photos of Admiral Yi Uk-ki (also spelled as Yi Ok-Ki) and Constable Hwang Se-Deuk of Right Cholla Navy ? Hehehe... ;D
I think it would be better if you could continue this photographic thread. ;D
I was thinking to update about Right Kyungsang Navy when American airings would arrive around Ep. 51-52. But I cannot offer excellent pictures as like you.
I'm sorry Todo Takatora doesn't wear his cute rabbit helmet in the show.

A thought just came to me, in the drama, Hideyoshi is being refered to as a taehap, (or taiko in japanese, I believe) but Choko's post says kanpaku (which is kwanbaek in Korean). A history book that I studied with also refered to him as kwanbaek (kanpaku), rather than taehap(taiko). And the designation that goes with kanpaku is 'your excellency' (kakka/kakha) and with taiko, it's 'your highness'(tenka/jeonha). So there's a difference in level between those two posts too. It seems that he held both posts at different times. Or is it that one person can have both of them at the same time?
