It's hard to believe that this show was once a disney movie, then became a soap opera, and now has become a fascinating show much like AOW. The way they portray warfare is unbelieveable. From the scenes with the Japanese, to the frontier wars with the Jurchen, this is just great.

I can't wait till the invasion actually happens. All the love stories and drama is gonna take a back seat and the war will finally be the main focus point. I just hope it don't drag on until then.

well it has been several weeks since i posted. being here had become less enjoyable so i took a break. after some self-reflection i came to the conclusion that it is up to *me* how i feel about things...so i'm going to give it another try.
this series is getting better. it has not been without problems but i have liked it very much all along. i thought the first part of episode 33, the battle with the jurchens, was just spectacular....almost as good as anything in AOW, maybe as good. hard to compare these shows since AOW belongs in a class by itself.
i am also anxious for the war to begin. YSS is a rare man and leader, and i hope they capture that. things should be getting more heated and exciting.

well it has been several weeks since i posted. being here had become less enjoyable so i took a break. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see you here again. As an aside, I think a person with almost 3000 posts has surpassed Wang status and should have some special category. Lessee. Howsabout, "Wang Guhn"? Bo

Howsabout, "Wang Guhn"? Bo thank you Bo. nice to be back. but did you have to go and point out that ridiculously high post count? i have some suggestions myself: how about TheWang , or top wang, or wang supreme (although that one sounds like a menu item )...if memory serves 'sang jang goon' was translated as 'superior general'...so it could be sang wang...or super wang...or luvwang. (now aren't you sorry you started that? ;D) ____________________________________________________ and eowyn, thank you for the welcome.

How about "Hwangsangpehha" (Hwang-sang-peh-ha) ? A little bit too long ? ;D Sangwang existed in fact. But less powerful than Wang. I think Tewang (or Daewang) is a good idea.

The one person that has the most posts should get the title of "Peyhah." The title would pass to someone else if they surpass the number of that person's posts.

I'd just like to say that points I raise are meant to stimulate the discourse. I had thought originally that YSS was a historical personage like U.S. Grant. I have come to realize that he is seen as more of a Lincoln-like figure among Koreans. I am not sure if this kind of thing can be handled with a dramatic critique, much less as an object of entertainment by that audience. What do you folks think about this?
