Just a question, What is the modern day name of Nok Dune Island? I was trying to figure out where it is located geographically. I even googled the name and had no luck. Thanks

According to the narrator, the island is is disputed territory controled by Russia so it may have a Russian name on modern maps.

From a Dong-A Ilbo article "Finding a forgotten island--Nok Dune Do" www.donga.com/fbin/output?f=jis&code=ji_&n=200406100294top : Nok Dune island. Nobody is living there today. middle : Nok Dune island on the map. It is located in the middle of China, Russia, and North Korea. bottom : the location of the island on the ancient maps.

I heard it's near Khasan (Russia).
In the end of 19th century, when it was annexed to Russian territory, Nokdun island had already became a part of land because of fluvial deposits of mud. (The ancient korean map dated in 1861 marks it as an island.)
