Tough one. I like them for different reasons. Age Of Warriors had excellent action, and plotlines. Emperor Wang Guhn had one excellent story, {and out of all, is the one that is most historically acurate} as well as large, and ambititous battle scenes. {though they didn't get 200,000 extras for the last battle between Koryo and Beckjae, they were still really ambitous with the amount} I don't know why I liek Yi Soon Shin. I guess it's an interesting character, wiiith some truly excellent fight scenes. Never saw Damo, or Jang Geum. From what I understand, neither are historical. And, as an assumption, i've seen Damo a thousand times only, except it the movies/shows were made in China. And Jang-Geum is a romance, if I am not mistaken. I am sure it must be great, as it is an international obsession, and has become a household name. It's just not my type of show. That, and the fact that WMBC is too cheap to bring it over to New York...............

I only saw emperor whang gun before the other dramas came out so I guess I'm only partial to it. And then I started seeing age of warriors but stopped since it wasn't subtitled. Historically, it seemed like a contination of the whang gun series (c. 11th century?). Now I'm watching a series called "hae shin" (water spirit) which is about 2 friends who get sold as slaves who later become pirates. It takes palce about (early 800's) a hundred years before whang gun during unified silla period.
But I try not to miss "the immortal Yi soon shin"....it 's awesome! I love the story even though it's fictional in part.

Dae Jang Geum was my fav. Even my bf liked that one and watched with me as well as went to our little "fan gatherings". AoW is next and then The Immortal Yi soon-shin. So far these are the only 3 I have watched (am watching). I came into K Dramas too late to catch Emperor Wang Ghun. I tried to watch DAMO and thought I would really like it but ended up not really liking it at all. I hope we get hae shin with sub-titles in Chicago sometime. It looks interesting from what I have heard of it.

Out of the list, I haven't seen Emperor Wanghun. I LOVE Dae Jang-geum. It is by far, one of THE BEST historicial Korean dramas I've ever seen. The Immortal Yi Soon-shin is pretty good so far too. I didn't like Damo because I was disappointed with the ending. Age of Warriors was another great show.

Dae Jang Geum was the best drama I've ever seen (Korean or otherwise). It had **EVERYTHING** and then some! I'm really attached to Yi Soon Shin and I liked Damo, too (although it was quite violent and very sad). I liked Age of Warriors, too, which was a very emotional and intense drama (but also very violent). Bring on more great subtitled dramas here in Chicago!
