Well, this episode turned my hopes around. I was at least certain they wouldn't let Mijin get raped. At least YSS was still the angry and frustrated person until Yuo-Hwa actually wanted to share his pain. However, when they flashed into the future, YSS became kinda settled down and lost his "Eye Of The Tiger". We also see a little into the meaning of politics and leadership with YSS, Sung Ryoung and the emperor. Won Kyun also had a show of his aggresive leadership, all of these didn't really stay in the plot. However, the end was what made me jump out my seat. I saw Mijin drifting back to Gon-Yang on a small row boat. The thing that then turn my smile upside down was the arrow in her back. I am guessing that she was escaped somehow. This is going to lead into a lot of mixed emotions for YSS. Once he meets up with Mijin again its going to be crazy. I just can't wait for next week.

I agree. I'm extremely glad that Mijin was saved [by nonetheless the enemy who is attracted to her] yet I also expected it. The minute I saw a kid running across the field I was like "shate. He's married now..." Predictable if it were to be put into one word. However, the end was what made me jump out my seat. I saw Mijin drifting back to Gon-Yang on a small row boat. The thing that then turn my smile upside down was the arrow in her back. I am guessing that she was escaped somehow. I was glad that Mijin came quickly back! But to see her still beaten up and alone on a boat just told you straight out that she didn't exactly had a good time in the past few years. The arrow just killed me. I feel sorry for her. Compared to Soon-shin, I'd have to say she suffered the most. What I found kind of cute in this episode was that when Soon-shin planned to go back to Gon-yang before going to Seoul, it showed how attached he was to the place and people [especially Mijin haha]. And then the cliffhanger comes in and Mijin is back! I saw it as fate, haha. [By the way, she's not pregnant right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the kimono for Japanese women used to have something around their waist that made them look fat or pregnant, when in reality, they aren't. I'm going to assume she's not pregnant.]

She looked pregnant to me too, but I think it was just the Kimono. Making her pregnant and putting an arrow in her back is too much.
What surprises me is that none of the Korean woman look pregnant. Whenever I have seen pictures of Korean women in traditional clothing, the waist is very high on the torso. Just like maternity clothes in America. As far as I have noticed, none of the women have worn that type of garment in TIYSS or AOW.

tell me if i am wrong but in episode 24, soon shin has 2 kids already and was about to take the military exam by the time mijin comes back. So am i right to assume mijin was in japan for a number of years?

judging by the fact that she returns alone and with an arrow in her back, it is a safe assumption....i made the same one.

Hmm, I thought 3. Because I remember reading a date that said 1564 [and this is when I remember complaining that Soon-shin should have been married by now]. It's now 1567. Hmm, confusion. Ah who cares.
