If you are enjoying this series so far and have not gotten to the latest episodes shown in the KBS site, you are in for an excellent treat when you hit the episodes 30 and on.
The Korean historic events are accurate accounts of Yi' Soon Shin's command of a northern garrison against the barbarians (known as the Juchens, otherwise also known as the Manchurians who later conquered Ming China and Korea). At this time of the story, kingdom of Korea was ailing from perpetual Japanese raids in the south, while the northern Choson was under constant attacks by the barbarians. As a kingdom, Choson was under severe decline as devastating and draining foreign invasions, inner corruptions, disunity, bad repressive governments, and poor leadership slowly took its toll - setting up the story of the rise of Yi Soon Shin. The last few episodes, I've been biting my nails entirely as the hostile barbarians with the help of inept Choson kingdom's rulers and generals tries hard to destroy Yi Soon Shin's efforts to defend the country.

heh............ jesus................. Hahahaha!!!!! Give the person a break ID. (Hi Wang. HAHAHA!!!) The words on the top are the nicknames for members. The words underneath are the titles given to members for their rank among the forums. Wang is the highest and I'm an Addict Graduate which is second or first from Wang. Anyway, welcome JPH. Sorry for laughing, but ID expressive writing style towards you was funny. Some people can't access the Korean Website VODS, So you did spoil some details in future episodes. I, myself, was wondering who the barbarians were. Thanks fo the info.
