There were 2 scenes (which amount to about 4 mins. worth of the episode) that were edited out of episode 9. In the first scene, a physician is checking on Chae Ok. In the second scene, Yoon and General Jo are being released from jail and they have a brief conversation with Heung Bok (king's right hand man). Heung Bok mentions Chae Ok and calls her "a girl with courage". After that scene, they move on to the king explaining to the court why he was releasing Yoon and General Jo. In episode 9, we get to see more of Heung Bok (king's right hand man). I like his character. It's a shame he has such a small role. He's kinda mysterious but we see how much the king trusts him. Then we have Chae Ok, who's basically in a coma. Yoon was willing to do whatever he could in an attempt to save her.

I felt bad in the scene where Lt. Yoon is caring for Chae-ok, and she starts talking in her sleep, and she mentions the name Sung-baek. Lt. Yoon must've felt horrible to realize that Chae-ok might be developing feelings for his enemy. Of all people, Sung-baek.
Was Chae-ok in a coma or was she dead? It looked like Lt. Yoon bought her back to life, but I'm not sure whether she was still alive or dead.

I think that she was just in a coma. But when the physician touched her wrist, he said the flow was cut off to her meridiens. Does that mean her pulse?
Also, the priest told Yoon to perform the ritual as if she were dead, even though she wasn't.
I was wondering when they were released - though they had the king explaining and then they showed Yoon and the Gen in actual clothes, they never actually showed them being released (which I thought they would've).
Oh, and I wasn't too happy with the king or his right hand man after they ditched Chae-ok after she told him regime-saving information. She was lucky that she could get to a point where she'd be found by someone.

She was lucky that she could get to a point where she'd be found by someone. I KNOW!!! I was thinking the same thing. I mean, after Chae-ok had shared all that information with the King, why didn't they take her somewhere to get her some medical help? You'd figure he'd be very grateful and he would do everything in his power to save her. After all she did risk her life. And then they just leave her there to die and she had to make it back on her own. Unless they thought she was already dead. But still that was bogus!

Oh, wait, I've got it. The only available physician was the king's physician and that would've been too tacky, to have him work on her. I mean, he's a king's physician.
I was talking with my fiance after watching the episode and we both thought the king should've recruited her to be his own personal spy since she got so far into the palace.

I know, she proved herself by jumping over the wall to get to the King, and getting all slashed up. Which was horrible, I'm surprised she didn't die. But maybe the King thought, that she was going to die eventually, so he didn't bother with her.

I agree they should've done something to help her but you have to remember that no one could know that Chae Ok was there or know about what she told the king. If someone in the royal court is supporting the rebels then they must have spies in the palace and amongst the military.

Good point! So they wouldn't have seen her crawling injured around the grounds? I think that his right-hand man should've spirited her away somewhere instead of just leaving her there.

(I know I'm late here.) But, YAH! I was so shocked when I saw her blundering around wounded after probably saving the king's booty. That bodyguard/councilor guy could easily have escorted her to a doctor or home without anyone finding out. But I absolutely loved the scene where Chae-ok broke into the palace. When she walked across the water and the king's men attacked, it was so spooky and lovely. And when the bodyguard picked her up, and she told the king of the plot, even though it was wrenching, it was just brilliantly done. I'm developing a fondness for this "flying fighter" genre, if you can call it that. Bo
