I don't know if I should call this a "favorite" scene. Although he was a jerk, I thought Jo Chi Oh's death and the death of all the other soldiers was quite sad.

Yeah, I agree. The guy was a jerk, but I felt really bad because all he wanted was some recgonition from his father, who even in his death still talked bad about him. The poor guy can't get a break.

Why god? We don't get this show in New York, but I am always coming here to see what I missed. Other than having a main character played by the EXTREMELY hot Ha Ji Won, the action here looks great. I am very happy that we get Yi Sun Shin, but soon, it will show his childhood, and I don't know if I have patience for that. Really, I wish that we could get this here. Maybe us NY fans, can write letters to WMBC, and ask them to air Damo. Anyway, telling from these awesome pics, I can see that this is a great show. And I hope that you all are able to cherish the fact that you have such a wonderful station, that listens, and cares for it's viewers. I don't rememeber the last time MBC invited me to some sort of gathering.

I really liked the action sequences in this episode. And I was sad for Oh. I don't necessarily think it's his fault he's a jerk - he doesn't get recognition from his father, so he tries to get it in any way possible. That means being a harsher leader and taking more risks in order to distinguish himself so that his father will finally love him. I'm not sure why his father was mean to him even in death, but you could tell that he truly cared, both when Oh came to visit him in the prison and after the funeral.
I finally watched episode 6 - I do think that the horseback scenes could be done a little better (both in the first episode and in this one). Some of them are good, but something just isn't right in the scenes where they just show the group of people riding on horseback.

There's a part that I didn't get. Chae-ok and the rebel are talking and he's telling her that he hopes in their next lives they don't draw swords at each other. Then he walks out and in her mind she says "It's a Treason" Why did she say that? Well the scene I like is when the rebel is fighting the guy with the scar, that looked pretty cool. And when the rebel is in the water pretending to be one of the soldiers, then when he comes out of the water, he looks so adorable Okay, why was that man so mean to his son? (sorry I'm not good with names. The man that's in jail with Lt. Yoon) I mean regardless of everything, that's still his flesh and blood.

Treason part - I think that she's trying to convince herself that he was treasonous because she wants to follow him. So she's telling herself that so she won't.
I liked that scene too, especially because he was so tricksy. Although I kinda suspected it was him when he first wandered around the bend.
The old guy probably was proud of his son and had really high expectations for him. So he was acting kind of cold towards him to encourage him to go out on his own and make a success of himself. Or something.

Then he walks out and in her mind she says "It's a Treason" Why did she say that? The original script ¼º¹é : »õ º½ÀÇ Áø´Þ·¡°¡ õÁö¸¦ ºÒÅ¿î´Ù. ¿Â ¹é¼ºÀÇ °¡½¿¿¡¼ ÅÍÁ®³ª¿Â ÀÀ¾î¸®µéÀÌ ¼¼»óÀ» ¼ÛµÎ¸®Â° ¹Ù²Ü °ÍÀÌ´Ù! Sung-baek : This world will flame with azaleas in the upcoming spring. People's smoldering resentment will burst into flame and change everything in the world. In Korea, azaleas have been a symbol of people's power(or public resentment) to reform the corrupt society, because those red flowers spread all over the country in the springtime. Sung-baek intended to suggest the possibility of revolution by referring to azaleas, and Chae-ok read his mind. That's why she said "it's a treason". The confucian government regarded any intention to overturn the strict social class system as a treason.
