One of my favorite scenes from episode 4 is when Yoon and Chae Ok are standing in the courtyard together.    I've always liked that scene. It's short but nice. Another scene I like is when Chae Ok volunteers to go undercover and into the rebel's hideout. Chae Ok: "Sir, if you really care about me, then please let me breathe". Yoon: "Go.. but you must come back alive".     I don't have video clips of these scenes so I substituted with pictures. ;D |

ah, that was a touching scene. You can tell that he really has feelings for her. Why can't they marry?

I'm don't know why they can't either! He's "illegitimate" and she's now enslaved, but was upper class. I don't get it!

I agree, but I also tend to get a little angry at the weepy "oh, I love you and want to be with you but I can't, because we're not of equal status."
I know it's a rigid class system, but, seriously, how well are the rolls kept anyway? They could run away and be farmers together or something. Or start/join a ninja brigade.

That's okay, you can be the crawly ninja that burrows under the ground (like bugs bunny) and instead of knives you can beat people with a bamboo stick.

Works for me!  I can also set traps using an early form of dental floss stretched between two trees to trip & capture unsuspecting baddies running through the woods .  .....(THEN I'll club 'em!) |
