I don't get it... During the first episode did she kill that guy? Cause it looked like he hurt her.

You're going to have to keep watching to find out. ;D If I answer that it would be giving quite a bit of the drama away.

Can we bring up theories here if we don't know what happened? Spoiler policy says nothing, but if you want to, take it out.
My little pet theory is that she killed him but his dying hurt her (b/c of their conversation) so that's why she looked like that. Otherwise, if he killed her, it wouldn't really matter b/c the police would kill him anyway since he was cornered.

Hey that's a good one! Or maybe they both struck but only then realized that their swords were rubber instead of steel. So sad.
I have decided that Mr. Rebel is Chae-ok's brother who was abducted. I don't know why. I guess I'm just reluctant to believe yet another love triangle thing. (Right after Phoenix too, blech.)
And it would explain why he keeps helping her (while he has another woman with him) - he was older and would remember what she looked like more than she would.

I have decided that Mr. Rebel is Chae-ok's brother who was abducted. Her brother wasn't actually abducted. He was led to safety by someone who worked for their father. Unfortunately, Jae Hee (Chae Ok) got left behind and was forced to become a servant. And it would explain why he keeps helping her (while he has another woman with him) - he was older and would remember what she looked like more than she would. If Sung Baek is indeed Chae Ok's brother, he wouldn't know that Chae Ok is Jae Hee. Not only did she change her name but the last time Chae Ok saw her brother (and vice versa), she was only 7. 16 years have passed since then.

I have decided that Mr. Rebel is Chae-ok's brother who was abducted. I don't know why. I was thinking the same thing. You know in the first episode when he is getting chased, didn't they show a memory of his, which was the same memory that came to Chae-ok, about her father being killed and her falling of the horse?

I do remember them showing this in the episode a few times. But didn't catch that it was when he was getting chased. Hmm.

I guess I'm just reluctant to believe yet another love triangle thing. (Right after Phoenix too, blech.) I'm curious... have you been watching Korean dramas for a long time? I ask because all Korean dramas have a love triangle. Even historical ones. They don't always play a big role in the dramas but they'll find a way to fit it into the storyline regardless.

No, not so long. I watched a couple of dramas (I'm not sure if any of them were Korean though - I know that one of them was japanese but the others I think were chinese) back when I lived in L.A. (but they were unsubtitled so I made up my own stories - there was the show without any causal reality, the show with the princesses and the show with the little girl trying to sell tofu and crackers).
When I moved to Chicago, I lived in Hyde Park and my building had no reception. But when I moved to where I lived now (last summer) I didn't notice the station. Then one day I happened upon OMR and thought it was neat. My fiance thought (and thinks) I'm crazy but he pointed out the tribune article in which this site was listed (I think) and so I started posting on here.
So I've only seen OMR, Phoenix, some of AOW, MPC and this show so far.
I made that comment because the triangle in Phoenix was so infuriating and I like this show enough without one.
