"When we were together, we had nothing to fear..."Oh, it's a GREAT movie! But then again, not everyone will be willing to sit through it. It's pure drama, and can feel rather slow at times. It springs forward through the years, too, as the childhood friends grow up. So if you like these types of intense real-life dramas, it is perfect! The film is so emotionally riveting and realistic, and I was crying my eyes out by the end! It's so unfair, yet poignant - and based on events and people from the director's own youth. The acting is phenomonal, with major stand-out performances from Yu Oh Sung, Jang Dong Gun and Seo Tae Hwa. The cinematogrophy is simple, which in itself is stark and vital, and the music is devastatedly gorgeous. Even the theatrical trailer was brilliant! This definitely shows that friendships are comprised of bad times as well as good. And it shows how people change, and how friendships change with them as they grow up. I highly recommend 친구 ( Chingu)!! ~ Heather www.isotype-newtype.com/

Yes, and it was domestically liscensed in the USA last summer, so you should be able to find it (or special order it) through your local video store or rental. If all else fails, you can buy it online from AsianDB, YesAsia or Amazon. Hope this helps! ~ Heather
