I saw this show this weekend--Saturday afternoon, I think--and because I can't identify it, I don't know if it already has a board here. Anyway, it looked like it took place in a room, with a bunch of people sitting down all lined up in front of the camera. There were two guys who were hosts. The guests were, TA DA! Lee Chang-hoon and the other guy from "My Sweetheart" ("Hyun-kyu" from "One Million Roses"), plus two women who I presume were their costars. They were answering questions and laughing a lot, and there was some kind of singing game/competition in which these things that looked like trash-can lids came crashing down on their heads when they made a mistake. Oh, and everyone was dressed in school uniforms. Anyone know what this is? It was fun to see those two actors hanging out. Chang-hoon seems to like jewelry, as he was wearing an interesting pendant and a bracelet.

Yeah this is HAPPY TOGETHER, it's pretty funny from what I can make out. I really wish I knew what the first half of it is where they sit around and talk, I know the host says something then they look back and a number randomly appears on a screen behind them, afterwards they would start talking and just seem to have the greatest time. The singing part is always funny and is simple enough to understand, I read that they get about ten tries to get the song down, if they get the song within the ten tries, the show will pay donation to some charity, if not, the celebrity have to pay the donation themselves. Just recently I guess they've added this section to the show because I've never seen it before, the first half, they have everybody lying down next to each other with their feet in the center (picture the shape of half a circle or a fan), each person is assigned a color and a woman tells them quickly what color to sit up or turn to their sides and if the players make a mistake, guys dressed in black would run up to them and smack each of them on the head with big rubber mallets. The second half is where the hosts and celebrities tries to play a song using their heads on this big upside down piano keyboard. Each person is assigned a song note (Do, Re, Mi, etc.). They have a certain amount of tries too, but I don't know if it's ten tries like the singing one. This show seems like a LOT of fun, I just really wish I knew what they were saying.

I saw the rerun and though Minjae looked so cute in his little school uniform. I didn't get to see the fun part with the trash can lids falling on their head (must have been hilarious) though. I was watching the re-run of this show on...I forgot if it was saturday or sunday, sometime in the early a.m.
I'd would probably be difficult to subtitle these show because everybody is speaking so fast and it's a faster paced, unlike the dramas.

speed reading sub-titles. Those would be crazy. Haha, I was doing that at the beginning of 'Who's My Love.'

How about the subs for the Jang Geum specials? Those were fast. But it helps make the show more enjoyable for us non-Korean speakers to know what's going on.

Thanks, everyone! I'd seen mention of "Happy Together" on these boards but didn't know this was it. GC, glad you got to see Min-jae. He did look kinda sexy! I'm such a weirdo, and I've probably shared this before, but I like it when you can see a man's undershirt (T-shirt) when his collar's open. Some women think it's ghastly, cuz it's his underwear and all, but I just think it's cute. If this were Hollywood, I would insist that Lee Chang-hoon get his teeth bleached a little. I'm not usually a stickler on teeth (hey, I think Steve Buscemi's cute), but MJ's are not that great--smallish and darkish--and detract from his overall handsomeness. He would look a lot more heroic with a flashing smile. The part with the singing and the trash-can lids was cute. I don't think they're very heavy, because Min-jae's reactions when he got beaned were kind of delayed. Probably they play up the sound effects to make it seem like a big "bonk!" I didn't see anything like this, but boy, it sounds silly and hilarious! Bless all those actors for lending themselves to something so dumb and cute. I bet Eric wouldn't!

You mean Eric from The Phoenix? Actually he and the guys from their band (Shinhwa) have been on Happy Together, I remember seeing them doing the singing part with the lids and another section where they played 'Rock, Papers, Scissors' with the lids too. I guess the show wanted the guys to think that the loser would get his head hit with the lid, but both lids came down and hit whoever won or loss.

I love that show too, i would love it even more if i could understand it all, but i guess it would be kind of difficult to put subtitles in this kind of programs, any one seen happy sunday too. i think that is what is called, its pretty funny too, specially the smile bus part.

Actually, I just invoked his name because we like to beat up on Eric and his "cheesiness" in the Hello Kitty thread (under General), continuing over from the Phoenix thread. We did not like him, to put it mildly. Hey, the other day Grandma from "Who's My Love?" (older grandpa's wife) was on "Happy Together." She had darker hair but didn't look all that much younger than she did with gray hair, which just goes to show you. We probably underestimated her age based on the fact that she didn't look quite old enough to be playing that character.
