KBC doesn't really seem to decide what to air next in a certain timeslot until the last month before a drama ends. However, since it's mostly been historical dramas in the Monday & Tuesday 8pm timeslot, the series about Admiral Yi will most likely replace The Age of Warriors.

I hope you are right Knov1. I am one of those that is more into the historical dramas. Having both AoW and Dae Jang-geum running at the same time kinda spoiled me. I would be lost without ANY historical drama. How quickly I became hooked.

Whsoe admiral Yi? Is he related to Yi Ui Bang or Yi Ui MIn? No, Admiral Yi Soon-shin has nothing to do with the warriors in AOW. Though a descendant of Yi Ui-Bang's brother became the founder of Chosun dynasty(1392-1910), Admiral Yi is not related to them at all. "Bul-Myeol-e Yi Soon-Shin" (Admiral Yi Soon-shin, the immortal)which will replace "The Age of Warriors" in Korea from August 15th. I'm anticipating this new epic because it would be a record huge budget drama in the Korean TV history. Admiral Yi Soon-shin(1545-1598) is a legendary hero who saved the falling country in the late 16th century during the international war between Korea, China and Japan. Can you believe that Admiral Yi won 23 victories out of 23 marine battles during the war? Unbelievable record, but it's true. The war (1592-1598) was a turning point in East Asian history. It resulted in the fall of Toyotomi Hideyosi reign as well as the birth of Tokugawa Bakuhu in Japan. It also brought the fall of Ming dynasty as well as the birth of Ching dynasty in China. In Korea? The class system and Confucian order stated to break down gradually. This TV drama will be the story of a man who was great but lonely. Admiral Yi defended Noryang Point in 1598 against Japanese invasion using the first armored ships in history.
