The KBS drama 'Terms of Endearment' is now being aired here in Chicago on Monday's and Tuesday's at 10am. This drama is NOT subtitled. Also, this is NOT a miniseries meaning it's longer than 20 episodes. It'll probably be around 50 episodes long. I'm not sure what episode this is on here in Chicago (I wasn't able to catch the episode number) but it either started airing this week or last week. Terms of EndearmentCast: Chae Shi Ra, Han Ga In, Ji Sung, Lee Jong Won, Park Yong woo, Jo Yeo Jung, Han Jin Hee, Oh Mi Yeon, Jang Yong, Yoon Mi Ra, Jung Han Yong, Son Hyun Joo, Song Il Gook, Lee Bo Hee, Kim So Hee official site: www.kbs.co.kr/drama/aejung/Chae Shi Ra (Kang Geum Pa) Han Ga In (Kang Eun Pa) Ji Sung (Noh Yoon Taek) Lee Jong Won (Jin Jung Han) Park Yong Woo (Jeon Sung Gi) Jo Yeo Jung (Na Ae Ri) I'm sure most of will recognize Han Ga In from YH. Actually, the director of this drama also directed YH. Also, Park Yong Woo is the actor that played the role of Kyung Dae Seung in 'The Age of Warriors'. Han Jin Hee seems to work in practically every KBS drama.

“Terms of Endearment” is currently running in Los Angeles *with* English subtitles (we’re up to episode #4) but it was placed in an odd timeslot (10:10-11:00 PM Sat/Sun nights) and twice I’ve forgotten all about it and watched the evening news instead! Knov1, if you hadn’t just told me that Sung Gi is played by the same actor who portrayed Kyung Dae-seung in “Age of Warriors,” I’d have gone through the entire series without ever figuring it out. He looks and acts COMPLETELY different! There’s already a pretty lively discussion going on about this series over on the California board, should anyone be interested: com1.runboard.com/bcjkdramasincalifornia.fdiscussion.t35

Since I've been recording 'Pearl Necklace' (I've got to actually WATCH all those episodes someday, it was a good show ;D), and still had my video recorder set for that time, I have the first two eps of this. I think I saw that Han Jin-hee (Oh In-hwan in OMR) is in this, too.

This drama seems nice. There are some different things and some interesting issues brought up in this drama but overall, the storyline is too similar to other dramas I've already watched. KBS tends to be rather conservative so I do give them props for some things that are brought in the drama, regarding the married couple and Han Ga In's character. I wonder how people in Korea reacted when these things came up in the drama.
