I think Jae-Min's mother is really very lonely where a grandchild would fill up her time. I, too, wonder what happened to "Band-aid" who was stalking her. He just seemed to drop off into nowhere.

She has awakened!
At least they haven't already adopted the baby; I was worried that they'd plop one in her lap.
The crying when she woke up was a bit disturbing, especially as it came at the end of an episode. I hear that people in a coma don't know how much time has passed, so she must think that she's waking up from the operation. Did she have some sort of dream or hear that she was no longer fertile?

It's about time too! What I didn't understand was why Jaemin's mom was freaked out about the girl running away when she was so anxious for her to sign the papers in the first place. Aiguu!

I don't think her note would be binding. She's probably worried b/c now the baby will have to be given to Social Services and not to them (the woman could've just given them guardianship ...) because they don't qualify. However, now that Ji-hae's awake, they'd probably be able to adopt immediately if they wanted to.

I almost forgot about them. Maybe they finally got a clue... but I can't help but wonder if the writers will throw them back into the mix just for the heck of it.

About a possible adoption: No, JaeMin and JaeHee cannot adopt for two more years, remember? JaeMin's mom was told that an adopting couple must have been married for three years as well as be financially stable. J & J have only been married one year, so the strategy would be for Mom and Dad to care for the infant in a foster capacity until J & J become qualified to adopt. Meanwhile, Dad doesn't appear to be backing the scheme, so we'll have to see...

and isn't it just great that the word LAWYER hasn't even been hinted at! Gotta love these Korean dramas! Let's just cut to the chase and deal with it.

you know i forget sometimes that j+j were only married for one year. now they say that the first year is the hardest but dang! comas, infertility, stalkers, a long drawn out argument (which is the main reason they dont live together now) im sure out of all of these couples there going to make it.
a part of me want to see hee-soo and jin-kook call it quits ;D

How long exactly is Jee-hae supposed to have been asleep? Two months? Longer? I was just wondering because Jae-min asked her if she knew on yesterday's show and so I figured, well, they must be implying that she's been out for a long time but they obviously don't want to tell us.
Also, I can see Jae-min's dad getting Jee-hae's back on the adoption thing. She doesn't want a kid yet, and though he wants to pass on his name, he will probably agree that it's not a good idea to force it on her. However, I can see Jae-min's mom wanting to "do good" or just wanting a grandchild and trying to force it on her. Maybe this will cause them to move out again (I sure hope so). In fact, don't they still own their first apartment but just rent it out to people?

Thanks, Enia! hachiue, wasn't it frustrating that Jae-min asked the question but there was no answer? It seems like it was almost a month, though they kept saying that past 20 days was the danger point, so maybe she woke up after only 20 days or less. What the heck, though? She wakes up from a coma at the end of one episode, and by the beginning of the next she's walking and talking and no one seems to care much. What about the drama and the explanations to her of what happened? They just bring her home and that's it? I'm talking about how Jae-min said to her, "You know you're permanently infertile now, right?" Like he wasn't sure anyone had bothered to tell her at the hospital. Sheesh. I'm glad that the baby has not been forced on Jee-hae--that she woke up in time to tell them, "WHOA. Who said anything about a baby? I have a life to live."

They never answered how long Jae-Hae was in the coma. Also, by American standards, wouldn't she have been tied up to tubes and monitors supporting her life during the coma?
I think the family had good intentions about presenting Jae-Hae with a baby, but it was done more to please Jae-Min and his family. Jae-Min's mother, hoping to help the couple, planned this adoption. The character I don't like at all is Jae-Min's father. He's never there, but very controlling and nasty. I was happy when his wife stood up to him when he yelled at her and blamed her for getting them into this mess. She, more or less, made it known that she can never discuss anything with him because he wants to tell everyone what to do, just as he does in his business. He's a control-freak, not very likable. Jae-Min's mother feels hurt because she did want to raise this child until J&J could adopt him. I think she has a lot of love and goodness to give, but her stubborn husband just ignores her needs to feel loved and important. In past episodes, when he came home, he only wanted to know when he'd be served dinner. I'd give it to him, with a plate over his head!!!

I disagree with you about Jae-min's mother. Maybe it's just overflow from her brattiness on WLS, but I think that she's just being selfish and she's turning into the typical mother-in-law. She doesn't want to let go of the baby, against Jee-hae's and Jae-min's wishes, because she wants to raise it. She wasn't even doing the baby-adopting thing for her DIL, but for herself!
I have a feeling that she's going to adopt a child anyway (where will it live? Sure as heck not in Jee-hae/Jae-min's room. In the common room? In her own room?). Luckily, her husband told her no babies, and no entering of names into the family register. I have a feeling, though, that if she does do something like this, it will be such a point of contention that Jee-hae and Jae-min will move back out (which I want them to do anyway, and it'll conveniently clear a room for the baby).

I hope Jae-min's mom doesn't pressure Ji-hae to adopt this baby, just because her husband won't let her keep it (and aren't they all acting like they found a puppy or something? "Please let me keep him! I promise I'll love him and walk him and feed him!") What an Aigu moment last night, Granny is about to tell Ji-hae something (what we've been waiting for!) and we have to wait 'til MONDAY to hear it?! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
