I'm starting this thread because several days ago someone mentioned in passing that no one has commented on the brother or his looks. I want to jump up and stand up for him, even though I can't remember his name. I love his character, especially the way he interacts with his sister. He's a good dad, even though he can't seem to get his working life together. (I can relate to that!) Together the brother and sister are both very sensible and dutiful, and they're cheerful and loyal, too. (Hee-soo is a bit of a nut, let's face it, but the brother doesn't seem to have that tendency.) Not to mention the fact that he is a handsome young man; not flashy like the hotcha Jin-kook (about whom, yum!), but just a straight-up goodlooking guy. I like him!

I think he's adorable, and he was my first choice for The New Min-jae (sorry, out of sight, out of mind ) until Jin-kook started smiling, and I got a load of those pictures that were posted of JK here . Eun-soo is still the best non-pretty boy on MPC, and a more sensible choice for best looking male on the show since he never forgets to button up his shirt. Jae-min would have to walk around in swim trunks a lot more often to move out of the #3 spot in my book (Jin-kook #1, Eun-soo #2, Jae-min #3) because he is still too goofy.

I would have ranked them in that order to. JINGOOK NO.1!!!! hehe. I like eun-soo...he's such a loving father and a brother. He's a really smart man, however yes...he seems to be struggling in finding a good job. However, he's writing a novel/book...so hopefully after he completes the book, he'll become a famous author...hehe.

I agree with you guys. He is a doll--good looking, smart and an overall good guy. You just know he'd do the right thing.
And the plot thickens. We got a hint that he may be on the verge of somthing. Do you remember when he asked Jin-Kook if they had ever met before, that there was some familiarity. Of course, as they were about to explore it, crazy uncle comes in and off we go in another tanget.

Oh yeah, definitely. That was a juicy little hint. And the way he phrased it was, "Don't I look familiar to you?" rather than, "You look familiar to me." That might not mean anything, but then again, it might.

I'm starting this thread because several days ago someone mentioned in passing that no one has commented on the brother or his looks. I think that was me. He's a nice guy and everything but I can't really comment too much on his looks though--he reminds me so much of my cousin that it freaks me out. Other than that he's really respectful of his parents. Never talks back to his mom even though she can be so mean at times.

oooo i just had a thought of how eun-soo and jin-kook could possibly be connected.. but this isjust REAL far off but im thinking that since before jin-kook wasn't all that serious w/ relationships n he was from overseas studying so who knows what he's done w/ women blahblahblah... could jin-kook have been one of eun-soo's ex's secret lover? lol i told you guys that this was far off.. im thinking that there has to be more than the reason of eun-soo not having a job that they have a divorce.. there's got to be more to what he told his family about the reason for divorce

That might not mean anything, but then again, it might. Didn't he mention to his sister that he went to the same American school with him? He might have even given him a scholarship. His memory wasn't clear because he (the brother) didn't hang with the Korean kids at school.

I really like how he's being so protective of Hee-soo, but not treading on her independent decisions by dragging her out by the hair (which, I am sure, he would like to do; she's clearly in a bad situation). Also, I liked how he told Jin-kook that they had to "talk"--although Jin-kook (who is being a total stinker) did not seem to appreciate the gravity of this statement.

Yeah, you said it, sister Bo. No matter how much the guy's been hurt, you'd think he'd have some shred of humanity and stop telling Hee-soo to take care of herself, not expect anything of him, make her own happiness, etc. For Pete's sake, even though he doesn't put much stock in the idea of marriage, they've now been physically intimate (one must assume)--doesn't that rate any added respect or tenderness from him? Besides the fact that she's running around that gloomy house all day looking like a little doll in her hanbok and trying to please everyone . . . .

How long does she have to wear that thing anyway? Until they bow to both sets of parents or for a certain length of time or what?
I'd be like "hm, going to go on honeymoon and will only come back when I can wear normal clothes."

Good question, hachiue. Maybe xelaevoli (sorry about the spelling there), our resident non-Korean-bride-of-a-Korean-man, can tell us?
I know that on some shows the bride seems to take it off the next day after returning from honeymoon--but maybe that IS because she has a normal family and is able to go bow to everyone in good time!
