It seems we're going back to the "Old Days" of "whenever" start times for shows. Last week, one of the evening broadcasts started something like twenty minutes late. Friday PM's started a few minutes early, so I missed the beginning. "No problem", I thought, "I'll catch it in the Monday repeat". But that started earlier than usual as well, so I came in even later than Friday!
I think they should bring back "Polish Television Chicago". When they were compelled to air paid programming at a specific time, it seemed to tighten up the whole schedule.

I know! I usually turn the tv on at 5:50 p.m. so I can be aware of when it starts. Sometimes it will start a few minutes after I turn on the tv, other times I will be halfway done eating and it is just starting.

I set my VCR for 5:55 and often miss the beginning of the episode. I can wait if a show starts late, but it really bothers me when they start it early--that's just not right.

I've been missing (taping) the first minute or so of Phoenix, too, on Friday and Saturday nights. I don't understand that, because I've inched the time forward a a minute or two every time, to 7:50, and still, I don't get the beginning. It's irritating.
By the way, I watched Monday morning (8/23) and they showed episode 23 of MPC (this was the episode where Mean, Rich Mama visited Loud, Poor Mama and said her son was "seduced"). Does that mean they showed episode 23 Monday evening, too? Is that how they are doing it now?

Last week Phoenix started closer to 7:45pm! I just breezed in at that time by accident, but clearly will have to make more of an effort, plus will have to set the VCR for earlier . Yes, frustrating.
