sweeeeeet. we need to work chung kyun into the plot here somewhere d**n he battle is over lol maybe the next battle choi bu would go and when he is going to get attacked i help him, by taking a hit for him or i shoot a arrow at the bad guy then when the war is over, he would ask me who i am and thanking me for helping. then i would ask him if he can take me under his wing. lol thats when i rise in ranks in the shilla dynasty and my power starts and i try to bring the crown prince back as if i do i could bully him and become superior general lol. because bullying the arcfiend is a waste of time lol. they i win choi bu trust and become right hand man by working for him hard. but as i said deep inside i have a good heart. just that for now iam nothing but evil. but infront of choi bu im an loyal man. but i to will respect him. just that i have my own goals.

Choi couldn't hear what brue was saying that was making hae yon laugh, so he walked even closer, tryng to stay out of sight as he did. apparently brue was pointing out the stars to her.
"and what does that constellation mean?" he heard her ask
"that", Brue answered "is one that predicts the viewer's future."
hae yon looked up at the sky, the wind playing in her hair. "what is my future?" she asked eagerly
brue screwed up his face as if he were concentrating very hard and said finally, "hm, this one is hard to read...very specific"
she pushed him playfully and giggled. choi felt something stir in him watching her easygoing rapport with brue. "try harder, brue" she admonished.
brue stared at the stars with a look of extreme effort and said slowly, "they say..that you are destined...to love a man.."
she laughed again, "oh?"
"...very handsome..."
"yes?"
"...with a nice full beard..."
"well, that IS specific" she joked.
"...who happened to help you...gain your...current employment!"
she laughed again and choi felt that sensation stir in him again. "his name wouldn't happen to be brue would it?" she asked pointedly.
"see? what do you need me for?" brue noted. "you can obviously read the stars yourself."
she laughed even harder and hugged his arm. "brue, you make me laugh so much!"
choi realized what the sensation was - it was jealousy. this was a completely foreign emotion to him. the intensity of the feeling disturbed him. normally he was so controlled. he heard them conversing again.
"would you like me to walk you back to your quarters?" brue asked.
hae yon leaned back on her arms. "mm, i think i'll sit out here and "read the stars" some more?"
brue chuckled and rubbed his beard in an exaggerated motion. "as you wish." he was about to walk away when he heard her call his name softly.
"brue..."
his heart literally skipped. it was ridiculous. he'd faced death a million times without any fear and this girl simply saying his name sent his heart racing. "yes?"
"...must be nice that you're ears are harder to see in the dark, hm?"
though sad that she had called him back just to tease him, her jibes still brought a smile to his face. he pulled a flower off the ground and hurled it at her. "impudent child" he said before walking off
she called out to him, cupping her hands around her mouth. "does that make you my governess?" she laughed when he waved his arm dismissively without turning around. she picked up the little flower he had thrown at her, looked back up at the sky and smiled again
why does she smile for brue, laugh even, yet not even acknowledge me with glance, choi wondered.
he saw her get up and brush her skirt, but she did not start walking in the direction of the queen's quarters. instead she headed towards the stables. curious, choi followed her.

Choi followed hae yon to the stables. walking to her horse's stall, she entered it and began brushing his coat, humming quietly to herself. watching her rythmic brush strokes and listening to her singing, he began to feel calmer. he wasn't sure if it was the wine he'd had, but at that moment, he wanted very much to speak with her. Walking up quietly behind her, he asked, "lady hae yon, do you ever sleep?"
"good evening choi jang goon", hae yon greeted, her back still towards him. The pace of her strokes remained unbroken. for some reason that irked him. perhaps he had been hoping to catch her off guard?
he let his first question drop. "have your trips to kaelim been free of problems?"
"yes, my lord", she replied, still busy with her horse.
choi bu fell silent for a while. standing only a few feet behind her, she was tall enough that he could only barely see above her head. "i suppose no other lessons in horsemanship are necessary then?" he ventured.
She turned her head slightly away from her task, but still did not face him. "choi jang goon, is that an offer?" he could hear the amusement in her voice. there was no doubt that she was toying with him.
"before i left for the north, i treated you unfairly...i offered as a means of apology" he explained.
"a verbal apology would be sufficient" was her response.
"then you have it." he turned to leave. "good night, lady hae yon."
"choi jang goon!" he stopped walking and turned to face her. she had stopped her brushing and was also facing him. "I don't need lessons - but if you would like to ride with me in the mornings for the company, that would please me very much."
part of him was tempted to accept. the other part of him was irritated at being found out. knowing he was still lightheaded from the drinks he had shared with the archfiend, choi bowed politely and left before he could act rashly.
cho chun's smile vansihed from her face only to be replaced by an angry scowl. she flung her brush across the stable, the noise startling some of the horse

General Du sat in his garden, sipping his tea while thinking back to the many times that he and other warriors had sat there together, discussing various topics of importance. Strangely, it seemed that the only people to sit at the table these days were Choes of Woobong. Du was still unsure how he felt about that. He rasied his teacup to his lips, but before he could take another sip, a voice called out to him.
"un-cle!"
Recognizing the singsong tone, Du turned around to see his 17-year old niece standing by his fish pond. She ran over to him and hugged him. "Uncle! Are you surprised?" she asked.
"Chang Bi-ya!" du said with delight. "What are you doing in the imperial city?"
She took his hands in hers. "Mother thought you could use some company." Du smiled. How like his sister to be concerned about him. He looked at his niece. Though she was still a child to his eyes, he knew she had grown up. Her demeanor now more dignified, she embodied the Du bearing - save fof the twinkle in her eyes. That was still the little girl he remembered. "Uncle, will you tell me more stories of when you fought in battles for the imperial house?" she inquired eagerly.
du laughed, patting her hand. "Don't you ever get tired of those stories?" he smiled as she shook her head enthusiastically. "will you tell me all about yi ui bang, and yi ko, and uijong, and chung chongbu, and kyung daeseung, and..."
smiling, he answered, "but you've heard those stories so many times, i'm sure you know them by heart."
"but uncle," she pleaded, "i want to hear YOU tell them!"
he chuckled. "who wants to hear boring war stories from an old goat past his prime?" he teased. as he knew it would, his jibe at himself managed to elicit the koryo temper in his niece.
"uncle, don't say things like that!" she said indignantly. "you're the bravest warrior that ever lived!"
"oh i don't know about that" he said laughing. it did him good to see her. she brought youth back into his life. "how are your studies?" he asked.
"going very well" she answered.
"Good" du said. "you are much smarter than your uncle! i can only read a handful of characters and my penmanship is poor."
for a moment she looked sad, "no, uncle, ah ni ohm ni da (that's not true). I will help you learn more if you like."
"oh nyah oh nyah." he patted her on the back. "shall we go inside?"
she nodded amiably. "uncle" she asked hopefully, "do you have any new stories?"
he paused. "no, chang bi, i'm afraid I do not" he replied.

after spending some time with her uncle, chang bi asked her uncle's permission to go do some painting outside. "just be careful" he warned her, "and don't be gone too long." she bowed and grabbing her inkbrush and paper roll, she was out the door.
she strolled around the city, looking for an ideal spot to paint. just beyond the trees, she could see the palace. it was a little far but she wouldn't be too long.
when she reached the gates, she was awestruck by the sight of the two guards who were posted at the sentry. wearing their arrmor and holding spears, they looked larger than life to her - and very noble. she sat down some distance from them and unrolled her scroll. rubbing some pigment onto her inkstone, she added some water from the gourd she carried and began to sketch the likeness of one of the soldiers. even with only a few strokes, it was obvious who the subject of her study was. the two sentries noticed her busy at work - this pretty young girl in her bright dress - and tried to see what it was that she was doing. when the soldier nearer to her realized he was having his portrait taken, he smiled a little and straightened his posture. Chang bi looked up and saw him notice, and laughed merrily. signing her name in the upper corner, she wrote some characters on the portrait before walking up to the soldier. smiling, she proffered the piece of rice paper to him. though breaking with protocol, the solider smiled and was about to accept it when the archfiend emerged with brue, choi bu and his entourage in tow, on their way to inspect the status of the imperial granaries. the two guards snapped to attention and bowed their heads as he walked by.
the archfiend looked at the girl who stood there looking at him quizzically, with the piece of paper still in her outstretched hand.
"may i see it?" he asked. the girl nodded mutely and handed him the paper. Ui min smiled and looked at the soldier. "it is a good likeness." he observed andhanded it to the soldier who accepted it and said, "thank you, hwang sang bae ha!" he turned to ask the girl her name only to find her kneeling on the ground.
"forgive me, sire, i did not know you were the emperor!"
ui min smiled, "come now, stand up." she did as he ordered. "you know, most soldiers can't read, you'll probably have to tell him what you wrote on his portrait", ui min informed her, neglecting to mention that he could not read either.
She turned to the soldier and said, "They are the characters "moo in" - the warrior...and my name."
"and what is your name?" the archfiend asked.
"hwang sang bae ha, my name is lee chang bi" she answered.
"lee chang bi" the archfiend repeated. "well, you have quite a talent. would you do a portrait of the empress for me as well?"
she kept her eyes fixed on the ground, "bae ha, how could i refuse your request?"
ui min smiled. "good" he said. "be at the palace tomorrow and i will inform the empress to expect you."
as he walked off, brue and choi both looked back at the girl. she was still rooted to the spot, her eyes as wide as saucers. they looked at each other and shared an amused glance - the poor girl was terrified.
chang bi hurriedly picked up her paper and brush. what would she do? her uncle would be furious with her for making such a spectacle of herself. how would she explain this to him? still, though frightened of her uncle's reaction, she was more frightened of having to appear at the palace the next day.

so CKB, tell me how you want your character to be written? madame yim has a baby but doesn't tell anyone? is he twitchy like chung kyun? well she feared, the empress dowager ( or however you spell it) would find out that, madame yim had a child from a warrior. she would get chung kyun and herself in trouble. so years pass and the bad news of the empress making yim marry yi ui-bang. the only people to know about yim baby is. chung kyun ( father ) Chung Jung-bu ( gandfather ) chung kyun sister and her husband ( the chubby brother-in-law of chung kyun lol) thats about it. but as they got killed by kyung dae-seung it helped for making CKB evil, at a young age. but deep down inside he has some good in him, but what has happen in his life has broken his heart and he only knows to hate, never had the time for love, just him planing on how to lead his clan to victory someday. he hates kyung dae-seung with a passion, he wishes he was still alive to kill him for making his life a living hell by taking out his dad and family. about the eye twitching lol he would have to be really pissed off to do that, but he can control himself way better then his dad. lol
