Hi Jasmine It has been a while since I was last here... ;D Yes, I liked the the actor and actress who played JG's parents. In fact one of my very old posts I did say one of my favourite scenes was when JG's father to be helped out JG's mum to be..especially the scene by the lake...when the mum ask dad, " Please let me follow you" .... " my life doesn't belong to me anymore" .... ukfan

To all, OK, I have a question about the JG's father character. What ever happened to him? I know that he was taken away after the wrestling seen but I don't know what ever happened to him after that. I think JG asked MJH to look for him but MJH could not find the record of him, correct?
Did he die like the monk predicted or just vanish? -FC

He just vanished, guest. We never actually learned his specific fate, except that he died (I think the characters just acted from that assumption). But from what happened to other characters removed by the police, I don't think his fate was a good one...

PS - In order to fulfill the monk's prediction, DJG's dad had to die, though. Remember? "The third woman will kill you but will save the lives of many others." So we know that much, I think.

I think it's assumed that he is dead, because he never showed up again in the drama, and when a "criminal" goes to the "palace police" aka ÀDZݺÎ, they face a terrible death, since the crime that he was accused of was reaallly big... I think the casting for this drama was really good... although I never see JG's mom/dad (the actors/actresses) cast in any other dramas or movies... Ah, it would be so good if there was a DJG2....

The actor acting as jang geum's dad is Park chan hwan, and he can be seen in <princess hours>(Goong). by the way, how do you post pictures here? I'm sorry, i'm totally a frog-in-the-well at this.... ha.....

There should have been a DJG part 2 but from what i read, LYA refused doing it because it was to stressful and draining physically & emotionally and the shooting was too hard. She also need to cry on cue.
But i think she did a wise decision of declining it.
