Jang-Geum is a very attractive girl with a way-beyond nice personality. Min Jung Ho loved her, and so does the King. Min Jung Ho showed his love for her by supporting her in whatever she does (even when the King wanted to make her his main physician) and rescueing her in times of danger. The King tried his best to protect Jang-Geum when he knew he was going to die and therefore she will be in danger. Now the problem is, WHO LOVES JANG-GEUM MORE?

I'd say MJH, even tho it must of taken a lot on the King's behalf not to make JG one of his wives. MJH liked JG from the start, from being a palace girl to dropping to her lowest as servant girl due to treason, to amateur doctor to becoming someone of even greater status then himself - he never changed whatever her role or situation. Whereas the King only took notice after her victories.
Plus the King was hesitant to go against the wishes of those around him to support JG. Whilst the moment JG left, MJH resigned and dropped everything to join her on the island. Not to mention the end, where he had to wait sooo many years for her !

I'll say the King's love for JG was just as great as Sir Min's love for JG. You can't blame the King for only taking notice of JG after her victories...dun forget that he IS the King; how can a person of lowly status like JG get to meet the King often? It was only after the King decided to appoint her as his personal doc then did he get a chance to know her better, and subsequently fell in love with her wonderful personality and wisdom. Another point to add, it's not very relevant to compare Sir Min with the King; you can't expect the King to elope with JG -- just imagine the chaos that would be caused when the country's ruler suddenly went missing! Plus, i'm very impressed with the King when he made the choice not to make JG his concubine. He is the King after all, nobody can disobey his orders, but he chose to let JG lead the life she deserves. Now, how many ppl can do that? (though of course if Sir Min was in his position he'll definitely do it too )

Hi!
From a bloke's point of view I personally think MJH loved DJG far more. It was true love, one without limits or doubts, and one without questions or hesitations.
MJH's love for DJG was total and was one because of his deep respect and admiration for what DJG was......I think!
I think that makes sense, don't you?

well as a woman (^-^) i'll have to say its MJH. although both the king and MJH loved her very much, MJH was always there for her, and always there for her to lean on. he always wants the best for JG, even if that means not having her by his side...
as for the king, for some reason, i feel that the king's love for her is more because she's probably one of the 1st women to truely care for him. as the king, he must always have the feeling that woman are just trying to seduce him for his power and money, while JG actually does care for his health.
anyhoo, just a bit of my opionon ^-^

And wasn't the king quite close to making JG as his wife, if it wasn't for Min Jung Ho's speech to the king (when the king and MJH was alone together)..and the king finally realised that Jang Geum and Min Jung Ho's love was something that was much greater than the kind of love that he (the king) had been experiencing throughout his life, and that making her as his personal doctor was the right thing rather than making her his wife.

i think they both have the exact same amount of love for Jang Geum. Maybe Sir Min's love just seems a tad greater because his is requited. this is the good thing about this love triangle, they all know where they stand. Who loves who was never a question nor was how much. they each made their decisions and made the best out of their situation.

MJH definitely loved JG much much more than the king. He loved her whatever she was and supported her in everything. He never minded that in the beginning his love for her may never have any conclusion since she was a palace maid and could not marry. He was content to just love her without hoping for anything back. He was also willing to give up everything, no questions asked when she asked him to go away and willing to go back so that she could do what seems was her calling.

Sigh...is there another wonderful guy like MJH on earth? If there is, then maybe there will not be another pitiful lady being hurt by some heartless man...

DEFINITELY MINJUNGHO... Because--->> min loved JG even if they werent supposed to love each other. The king 'loved' her but if he was min, and min was the king, he would have given up JG. The reason Min and JG seem like they love each other sincerely is because they are not allowed to love each other. That is what makes their love so special... *^^*

Having just watch DJG for the 4th time, I think MJH loves DJG more. It's hard to "measure" love in quantity, it's more a matter of quality and who you become and how you edify the other person. MJH gave up of himself and his deep love for DJG, the King didn't have to give up anything. I want my own MJH! Clare

Replying to myself, I also think that JJH and LYA make the cutest couple ever. I soooo want to see them together again, maybe in a modern trilogy: a romantic comedy, a tragic romance and an intense, sensually charged drama. Uhm.. I would never move from the telly Clare

Clare, 4 times. Wow.. I don't know if love can be quantified and compared. Both of them love her but they are different because of their positions and their personality. It seems that the writer decided to make MJH the perfect man and the King, a man with some faults. For the king, it was a possessive type of want, and for MJH, it was more nurturing, supportive and timeless kind of love. Yes. One MJH for each of us.

Hey, I'm ready to start watching it for the 5th time. I need to learn how to make smaller videos, so I can make a video with LYA and JJH's parts. I would be watching that over and over and over.
Clare, clearly obssesed with this drama
