Hey, I recognized something on the Sat a.m. ep. When Min and Yeun-seng are discussing whether they should take a dip in the hot springs, Yeun-seng says if you just wash your face and hands once, people start asking you if you're 'the yangguifei' incarnate.
I happen to be reading The Tale of Gengi (Japanese @1007, supposed to be the 'oldest novel still recognized today as a masterpiece'--in translation, of course), and that conversation rang a bell. Sure enough, in the first chapter, there is a reference to this person. The footnote says:
"The beauty Yokihi (Chinese Yang Guifei) so infatuated the Chinese Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) that his neglect of the state provoked a rebellion, and his army forced him to have her executed. Bai Juyi (772-846) told the story in a long poem, 'The Song of Unending Sorrow' (Chinese 'Changhenge'...)..."
Another instance of how the Chinese influenced everyone in that area of the world.

There has to be such as now the EU as all local there.
It is interesting they pick up on it in the soap. They must have a good working knowledge of history.
