Hello, Fellow Jang-Geum Fans, I apologize, but I am confused about the King's health situation: 1.) Is he actually being poisoned? 2.) If so, who is doing the poisoning? 3.) Are (some) of the Royal Physicians involved with the Choi family, too? 4.) Are (some) high-ranking members of the Police crooked? 5.) Are any of the members of the Royal Guard not to be trusted? I am glad that Keum-Young loves Colonel Min, so his life can be spared, and so that he can find out that Jang Geum is the woman who saved him. However, there seem to be so many more evil characters in power than good ones, so how can a few good and honest lower-level characters succeed in bringing so many powerful upper-level meanies to justice? ---- I know, that's why I tune in for every episode, faithfully!

I did miss a couple of scenes when my baby woke up, and I wasn't taping the show, so i can't go back to review! But I think I've got some of the puzzle pieced together ...
I believe that the royal physicians missed a rare (or new to them) illness. I can't pinpoint exactly why I think this, except to remember when they were discussing the mouth sore and one doctor told another to check the archives for rare diseases with that symptom.
Then again, Lady Choi did make a strange face when she first cut up and tasted the mushroom part of the turtle soup. It seems that Lady Choi is plotting to try to poison the king with a secret mushroom or "plant" poisonous mushrooms somewhere to implicate Lady Han.
I think that the physicians are not so involved, but they know they will be held responsible unless they find a reason for the king's worsening condition that it outside of their direct control.
I thought that Keum Young was going to expose the relationship betw Col. Min and Jang Geum out of jealousy! I'm so glad she didn't!

This is what causes JG in the drama to keep going UP by just DOING vs manipulate. You do your thing and she has "A" thing in life.
Looks like the mineral springs vacation had a side affect on his heath. We are seeing 500 year old medicine in practice, not much different from now but they trey PILLS now that they can SELL. Vs JG's philosophy.
