Does anyone know anything about this new drama (or can translate, so we can find out!). It's called Royal Story. One of the supporting players was General Bae in Wang Guhn, & was in Dawn of Empire, and i think has a role in Age of Warriors. royalstory.kbs.co.kr/

Does anyone know anything about this new drama (or can translate, so we can find out!). It's called Royal Story... Is that the one I saw advertised after Jang-geum last Sunday morning? Where there was one historical-type guy standing between two historical-type women? I was curious, also. Bo

i've noticed it too...it should be replacing jang-keum in march or may... unsure since this drama lasts for just 50 eps.

I really hope this is subtitled. The promo for it on the KBS site looks interesting. Thanks JP for the link.

Hee-hee! "historical-type women" and "historical-type guy." I didn't see the promo, so I'm picturing the "historical types" standing there while modern Seoul rushes around them, cell phones ringing like crazy.

Royal Story = Jang Hee Bin.
Jang Hee Bin is aired Wednesday's and Thursday's by KBC at 10am.
The story revolves around King Sook Jong (the 19th King of the Chosun era), Jang Hee Bin (an Imperial consort) and the Empress.

I dont like the history shows. age of warriors seems has been on forever longer than any other drama.

Then you wouldn't have like 'Emperor Wang Guhn'. It ran for like three years, I think.

I know, I remember the Kyung-Bin character from Yeoin Cheonha vividly, especially when she retorts: Beeya! ;D Ji-Won really played that character superbly and over-the-top! I watched the clips of Jang Hee-Bin during the last K-drama awards and so my first-ever glimpse of the series is of the JHB character slapping another lady while uttering that immortal phrase: Neeinyon! ;D I really would have liked to watch this series, especially since it involved Imperial Concubines, a plot not unlike Yeoin Cheonha. Too bad my local K-station decided not to air it. However, thanks to board members like yourself and Choko (who posted some awesome links to JHB stills ), I can at least get some satisfaction from knowing bits and pieces of this intriguing drama series.

jacques if ur not afraid to watch w/o subs u can view it on kbs or rent it from a local korean video store. sso.kbs.co.kr/Eng_new/Join/Join_Eng.asp?site=english.kbs.co.krhere's english sign up, if u don't belong already. the show was pretty good to me(my aunt & uncle were alittle 'taken aback' due to intimate scenes). i think u would like it.

Thanx C! I think having survived Yeoin Cheonha and DJG w/out subtiles, I should be steady enough to watch JHB entirely in Korean! ;D I will indeed take you up on that suggestion, especially since my local K-station just showed the DJG finale this past week, and I gotta have my Joseon-era drama fix to balance out Koryo-era AOW and modern-era OMR!

I'm not trying to get off topic, however, while we're on the subject of watching dramas without subtitles .. the way I see it is .. if I'm interested in a drama I'll watch it with or without subtitles. And I'm not fluent in Korean either. I've watched MBC 'Damo', SBS '1,000 Year Love', KBS '18 Year Old Bride', KBS 'Autumn Fairy Tale', SBS 'What Happened in Bali', KBS 'Summer Scent', SBS 'Bad Girls', KBS 'Godok', SBS 'Perfect Love' ... just to name a few .. all without subtitles. I've also watched some episodes of DJG without subtitles. I'm currently watching MBC 'Pretty Woman' and MBC 'Woman Who Wants to Marry' without subtitles. And since there's very little chance of MBC 'The Prince's First Love' being aired here in Chicago .. I'll be watching that without subtitles too, once it starts airing in Korea.
Anyways, my point is .. if you're really interested in a drama go ahead and check it out .. even if it's without subtitles.
