I noticed in tonight's ep (170 - geez, only three more to go! ), that when Peter Kang and Dyong-po were sharing a drink, Peter turned his head when he drank, but Dyong-po did not. One turns the head when drinking with an elder or one of higher social standing, but Peter and Dyong-po are the same aproximate age, and both are successful businessmen. However, Peter's son is Dyong-po's daughter's husband. Given the lower standing awarded daughters, I would have thought he would have the higher standing. As far as I'm concerned, though EVERYBODY should defer to Dyong-po, the voice of reason.

Soju I couldn't agree more. Mr Suh is about the nicest person anywhere and if MJ's birth father decides to do the right thing and let MJ stay where he belongs, I think it's because Mr Suh treated him with respect (even though I would have probably spit in his face lol).

That is very observant of you, Soju. In Hawaii, we only saw epi. 166 tonight where In-Hwan, hyun-gyu & Min-Jae had drinks together. I did notice that the sons both turned to the side and had the other hand over their chests as they took their shot, while dad did neither. That had me wondering about drinking customs in Korea. Now that you've brought this up, I'm guessing to say that Dong-Pyo is older than Peter? I've always felt that the Suh's were older than the Oh's, especially Mal-Bong as compared to Soon-Young. Maybe I'm wrong, In-Hwan is looking pretty worn these days!
