HELP! Can somebody from Chicago please summarize? It came on late and it looks like we were the victims of deleted scenes in New York! I know one must have involved Tae-ho and Soon-ok. Thanks!

I wish I could help, but I noticed that we (Chicago), too, had clearly missed that scene. All we saw was both TH and SO, separately, talking to themselves about each other as if they had just spent time together. I don't know how many days we have to wait for the uncut repeat to be shown in the morning broadcast, but maybe someone who watches the morning show here can weigh in?

I just watched this on Soompi and the scene we didn't see occurred between when MJ and YJ are sleepless in bed, and when Kum-ja sees Tae-ho come home:
Soon-ok, Tae-ho, and Ki-soo are having drinks at an outdoor table. Ki-soo seems to be trying his usual low-key matchmaking, but Sun-ok and Tae-ho start their usual bickering about something.
I have noticed that KBC seems to be showing as much in the evening as in the morning repeat (which is very good), but that the overall running length of the show is a few minutes shorter everyday. My guess is that the culprit is KTE, since when KBC edits something out, it is more, uh, obvious, that it has been edited. Since the east coast folks noticed it too, I bet it is the subtitlers in LA who are the culprits.

I wonder if that's true, Soju? I haven't noticed an obvious edit here in a while. I actually thought that my station was the culprit because they were trying to adjust their schedule. OMR came on about 10 minutes later than usual that night, and actually seemed to end a few minutes early. We also get commercials in the middle (halftime) and that seemed to come early too. Like they really chopped up the first half. We usually get it here from 9:40 to 10:30. Then again AOW never comes on at the same time here twice. I thought it was 9:45 Saturday & 9:20 on Sunday, but Saturday has been as early as 9:20 and Sunday as early as 9PM. Go figure... And Soju, thanks for the info on that scene!

Here in Chicago, we see an episode in the evening with a commercial break, which is then repeated in the morning (two days later now; it's a long story) without a break.
The evening show used to often have large parts missing from during the break, which is why many of us started recording the morning airings. In the past several weeks, though, the evening shows have everything the morning shows do.
Since I still record the morning broadcast so I can archive it, I'ved noticed that while it used to run about 34 minutes, it now goes for about 31. So, perhaps one scene is missing every day.
Is anyone from Hawaii out there? I get the impression that KBFD does their own subs, rather than getting them from KTE. I wonder if they saw this scene.
Lucy - with all the talk about avatars lately, I thought I'd add one myself.

I did watch this morning episode, and noticed the scene in the bar (Ki-Soo, S-O & T-H) was obviously missing (although of course I did not know what it was then!). I wonder if KBC is editing the shows shorter because of that children's program they are airing between the news and OMR. It does seem to have a shorter run time now.

Bo -
I think this is not KBC's doing; their edits have always seemed to be a bit more "obvious". The fact that fans in another market seemed to be missing the same scene makes me think that it happened elswhere.
I have read elswhere fans in LA (where KTE is located) complain about how dramas have been truncated, and I think this is another instance of this.

I see what you mean, Soju. I think we saw #170 tonight. Once again, it came on late and ended early! With an early ''halftime.'' It looks like the first half was cut to ribbons. From beginning to ending credits here, including commercials we usually get about 50 minutes. Today was barely 30! So disappointing with only four more to go!
