Well I was actually cheering when I watched the meeting between Mr Oh and Peter K. I have not been very impressed with Mr Oh for a while now, with his inability to open up or even smile but he really came through last night. He didn't hesitate at all when he chose keeping MJ over keeping Joyland. And I'm glad we won't have to watch days and days of MJ keeping his meeting with his birthfather a secret.....at least I hope we won't have to! At least Mr Oh knows the score for sure and he should be able to watch for signs that MJ plans to sacrifice his own happiness for him.

I agree with you about Mr Oh, HC. I was truly impressed with his response. And Peter Kang just didn't know how to deal with it. Why did Min-jae think he would not go to Oh? P-K does not want MJ--he wants revenge! He wants to make Oh squirm.
Looks like you didn't get your wish, though--I feel like I've been treated to WEEKS of people unnecessarily hiding this completely public info. (I'm a few days behind because I'm watching Mor-Nings--so far everyone knows, but is trying to hide pertinent parts from everyone else.) It's a little aggravating, but it's a lot better than days--weeks--YEARS of rotton HK/HR theme music while they both cry and crush paper and other insignificant objects in their hands. I'm rather enjoying these last couple of weeks.

I have yet to see this but it should be coming soon and I am waiting to see some spine in Mr. Oh. But, Bo, as I was reading your reply something just occured to me. Yes, they are moving these last few weeks fairly quickly to resolve the Joyland/Peter Kang issue. And, yes, I agree, sometimes that teeth gnashing/hair pulling/crying of the HR & HK paring was a bit tedious. BUT what the heck did Evil Auntie do in the one year (supposedly) that HK was gone? Yes, apparently she met him in Orlando at one point. But did Mr. Oh do or see nothing of her manipulations during that time? Maybe she did not do any manipulating? Didn't Mr. Oh and Min-Jae ever get that darned golf course built? It seems that a year is sufficient time to resolve the issues on whatever hole it was Liz

Hi, Liz, I can't answer all your questions, but I remember a recent episode in which the progress of the golf course was mentioned. Apparently it is not done and won't be for about 6 months yet. There were a couple of problems, including some sort of environmental or neighborhood damage that had to be worked out.
You know, sometimes I wonder why the writers bring out certain facts. Like the foregoing; also, the stuff about Yj and Mj's attempts to get pregnant had a bunch of detail that doesn't (or has not yet) panned out into anything. A lot of what people say and do on this show definitely feels like filler to me. People have issues and then they drop them. The Yu-kyung/Hye-sung relationship is an example; they had a big fight over his not studying enough for the general contractor's exam (well, that's what YK was mad about, but she didn't really tell HS that; instead, it turned into almost a generic standoff). But now that they've put it behind them, is he now studying more? Who the heck knows?

One starts to wonder which of the nuggets that they throw out will bear fruit, and which turn out to be red herrings (boy, what a mixed metaphor).
I wonder: they say "Some folks thought that Min-Jae was actually In-hwan's son", and then In-hwan says, "What if Peter Kang wasn't your birth father?"
You don't suppose . . . but then, there would be a whole 'nother set of issues to deal with, and with only three episodes left, it'd have to be a mighty fast-moving plot line to wrap it all up.

LOL. A fruiting nugget of red herring: YUM!
I did wonder about that, but, as you say, there's little time to wrap it up if so. And now that Haimonyi has finally done right by Min-jae (I admit it, I was crying), such a revelation would be almost irrelevant.

In episode (I think) 168, when SoonYoung met her first hubby, Peter Kang, she threw out something to the effect that he didn't even think Minjae was his son anyway...that got me to pondering.... Wouldn't it be ironic if Minjae was really InHwan's son? Grannie would have been so hateful all those years to her own blood!!
Somehow, I don't think it's true (Mr. Oh being his "blood" father), because what mother would let her son be subjected to Grannie's hatefulness for all those years knowing the truth of his paternity? Just my thoughts...

Great point. I hadn't thought of that. Soon-young definitely might have said something, given enough provocation. Or In-hwan might have.

Hi, may I know where I can d/l this drama pls? Thanks I'm sorry, rijungsil, we are not allowed (by our contract with the message board provider) to post links to illegal downloads here, and I don't know of any legal ones. I don't know if there is a link to the KBS site (I believe this is a KBS show) that would give you a link to show episodes. It's kind of old now. Have you considered renting? Also, if you want information on old shows, you might try soompi.com. Bo
