TEXTOkay sorry if I see this wrong, but does Granny have a wooden item behind her when she sits on the floor of her room that resembles a weed plant.

Well a weed plant in grannie's room would explain her duo personality. Mellow when she can harvest a few leaves and mean when she has to wait for it to grow a little more to harvest.

Hey have you noticed it? If not, take a look. It looks like a wood type box or something on the shelf behind her and when she is talking while sitting there, I can't help but to look at what looks like a carving of a weed plant. I must be wrong.

. . . I can't help but to look at what looks like a carving of a weed plant. By "weed," I assume you mean marijuana. Yeah, I noticed it too, but I doubt that's what it's meant to be (I think it could probably also pass as a crudely-carved maple leaf). As for what it *really* is, I'll have to leave it up to others to let us all know for sure.

There was some discussion about this on the Yahoo! Korean Drama Fan Board a few months ago, but the topic sort of died out without anyone shedding any light on what it is.

I think it was discussed here, too, a long time ago, and people made a bunch of jokes about Granny being high on pot, etc.--but, again, the subject petered out.
