I don't think MG has any feelings whatsoever. It must be her favorite pasttime, blaming MJ and YJ for everything, especially MJ. It seems 20 years isn't as long as a lifetime is. So feeling bad about something she says, that'll never happen. When you feel that what you said or did wasn't wrong, you won't have any regrets; and that's how I think MG feels.
She must be a very unhappy person, that she has to make the people around her to feel the same way. What a sad individual.

It's pretty much a habit with her now, blaming MJ for everything and YJ put herself on the middle when she married MJ and when she meddled. Still, I don't think Granny wished for this miscarriage. She isn't pure evil like RH, who's agenda is just to ruin everyone's life as revenge for these people moving on after her sister's death. Granny is just doing what she thinks is best to protect the Oh family in her eyes. She has softened considerably and even though the miscarriage was tragic the thing to remember is that if the pregnancy had been solid, Granny yelling would not have caused a miscarriage. I'm not excusing what she did but it's not her fault completely either.

I should have posted here in stead of elsewhere, sorry. But even though in Phila. area we are behind Chicago, I wondered if Mean Grannie had really changed. I do not believe it is possible, but that is just me.

To anyone who saw this ep. this morning (6/10, ep. 145):
There was a scene edited out of the evening broadcast, it was where Soon-young went to visit Yu-gin at her mom's house after she gets out of the hospital. What did SY and Mal-bong talk about in the living room? I saw this on Soompi, but I had no idea what they were saying. Please help!
Thanks!

Granny's name is Kwi-boon. I get confused with all the abbreviations, too. I abbreviate their real names (Hyun-kyu/HK), but I try to avoid EA (Evil Aunt), RH (Rainbow Hussy or Rainbow Hag), and the like unless I put an explanation nearby or if it's on second mention. It's just too "in-joke," you know? Now that I think about it, I think MG stands for Mean Granny, but all this time I thought they meant the mean aunt, whose name is Myung-joo (I thought someone mixed up the G and the J phonetically).

Liz So we see the Mean/Mad Grannie character shifting along the karmic line, seemingly from the wicked witch she's been all along to perhaps a softer side we haven't seen before. Grans, will you PLEASE make up your mind? Are you destroyer or nurturer of human relationships, or are you trying to evoke some mystical spirit by being both at the same time? Will the Real Grannie Oh please stand up?! ;D

I checked both the AM and PM airings of this ep, and didn't see such a scene. WOCH seems to be having some tape problems lately, where they have a commercial in the morning while they readjust things . The missing scenes have always seemed to occur during the evening commercial, but lately, they seem to be intact. Perhaps this scene was edited out by KTE when they did the subtitles; they've been known to do it before. I've noticed that the running time for the AM broadcasts has been a few minutes shorter in the past several weeks, so I think this is the case. Does anyone from Southern California know about this?

Ok, I am still seething with anger from having watched this scene (thank you OMR writers for ruining an otherwise beautiful week for me ). Where does this Grannie-from-hell get off doing what she did, blaming Min-jae and Yu-jin? And Soon-young trying to placate the old witch by telling her "Kojong hasaeyo" (Please calm down). Calm down, my a#$e!! I would sooner this woman be made to swallow her own venom, the way Lady Choi force-fed it to Jang-geum's mom in DJG, the way Empress Mun-jeong had her conniving court ministers drink bowls of poison in Yeoin Cheonha, or the way Jang Hee-bin had it given to her in Royal Story. I say if the woman didn't her read her manual on how to be a good, nurturing grandmother, then throw her out to the streets of Seoul! Or at the very least, check her into that retirement home that the Estelle Getty character in Golden Girls was always mortified of.
