Did you all see poor Soon-young’s face when Inhwan said he should have never married her? For goodness sake's like he couldn't have asked her to step outside while he told his mother this. It’s like he put a dagger through her heart. What a jerk! After putting up w/so much from his whole family for 20 years and this is the kind of loyalty he has for her? Absolutely disgusting.

I KNOW. I think it's time for Soon-young to pack herself a little ditty bag full of her round-necked sweaters and sensible skirts and go check herself into a four-star hotel. She needs to go get facials, take saunas, and learn to golf, just as she said she wanted to a few months back. Goodbye, In-hwan! You've done nothing to earn her love or her loyalty, not in 20 years. Jerk!

You said it Lucy,
How could any woman Love that Jerk. Any time I see IH, he has no compassion for her, like a stuck up snob. I hate the fact that they only real person he talks to is MJ . I never see IH say I love you or how much he cares about her.
He is a dispictable man and huband, she should of left him longgg ago.

Jerk! There you go, Lucy. Kindly hook Soon-young up with the Marla Maples Club. ;D Again, must be karmic casting since the same actress was in Yeoin Cheonha/Ladies of the Palace where she played a suffering wife who eventually got poisoned to death by a family member. It is precisely this kind of patriarchal cr*p that holds down many good Asian families, and the women are ultimately the victims so long they PUT UP with it and become players in such a dysfunctional system. You gotta give it up for her tho', she WORKED so hard to win Granny (who actually represents the patriarchy in convolution with In-Hwan)'s approval, somebody else woulda slipped herbal ephedra into that woman's chicken soup!

I agree jacques, after 20 years of loyalty to a royal pain, I would have the herbal ephedra brooing in my caldron already, hoping it's potent enough to do the damage in one sip. I guess only us faithful watchers can see the knife sticking out SY's back that was put there by her guilt feeling husband. After all, he did learn something from his MOTHER and that's how to feel guilty and make others suffer the consequences. And if the lump that SY's feeling pans out to be serious, I'll just have to fly over there on my broom and have a heart to heart talk with my fellow witches. (Granny and RH) ;D ;D

I could have stabbed him when he said that last night. How dare he even say those words out loud? She pretty much gave up everything for him, including any chance of ever being happy and her closeness with her own son and this is how he repays her? Geez what a complete jerk. My guess it that her getting sick is what will finally bring him to his senses about he could lose if he loses her.

Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad prospect; at the end In Hwan will be left alone with Granny, and just like 2 hyenas left alone, they will go at each other and its gonna b "Psycho" all over again! ;D

All this talk about karma is making me wonder...could Soon-young's woes be her karmic payback for "preferring" In-hwan over her son? Yes, I know it's two different kinds of love but she herself has admitted that she neglected her son in order to be a good wife and DIL.
Either way, I'm still outraged over Inhwan's treatment of her and agree with Lucy that's it's time to start packing.

Either way, I'm still outraged over Inhwan's treatment of her and agree with Lucy that's it's time to start packing. Oh yeah. But you know the sick thing is, back in Asia, they really expect Soon-young to pledge unquestionable loyalty to her "new" family, including mom-in-law Granny, just because she married "into" them (plus they're richer naturally), and the devil may care about her previous, biological family including her own son MJ (I know of a couple real-life cases--the tyranny of the in-laws! ). One thing I'll give the screenwriters, there's nothing like a terminal disease to free up what's left of your spirit. Coz otherwise, SY wouldve remained so blindsighted, it would eventually poison her relationship with her own son, and that in itself would be carcinogenic.

I was glad SY finally blew her top on Friday night's episode. Imagine her heartache at thinking that after 20 years her husband could wish he had obeyed his mother and not married her in the first place. And to have Garnny butt in and defend her to Mr Oh must have just made her feel like the weight of all that abuse was finally lifted. Obviously that idiot still can't admit he's acting like a jerk but at least SY now knows for sure that Granny has accepted her.

I was glad SY finally blew her top on Friday night's episode. A lot of good that did her, they spent like 3 or 5 minutes just asking each other, "Well what do you want me to do!" and "I don't know tell me what to do!" I wish they would ask me what they should do! ;D
