And what about that cheesy piano outro that concludes every episode?! ;D I have been so Pavlovianly conditioned by it that I automatically reach for the remote and turn off the tv when it comes on!

Oh, totally. It SO screams "cheesy soap opera cue." It's quite embarrassing, and I think to myself, "I can't believe I watch a show that uses that music." LOL

Hey! It works, in a sort of old-timey drama way. It's certainly better than that annoying song they play over HK & HR's love flashbacks/scenes, although the HR/HK song does have the function (when it ends) of telling me when I can come back from doing dishes and watch the show again.

Plus it seems that every drama has its own "dramatic" ending music. I guess it signals the end of the episode is coming and usually that's also the scene the next episode starts with. I do have to laugh every time I hear it though. Not every episode ends with a real cliff hanger like the music implies.

Yeah, I really like the way Jang Geum episodes end, especially nowadays they're playing the techno remix of that folk song.
