OK, as we know, practically no one on these shows ever uses their home phone, so we're "treated" to a variety of strange ring tones on their cell phones. Which, by the way, they never seem to change. Aunt RH's is an unexpectedly romantic tune, Tae-ho's is that entirely-in-character Santana/Dave Matthews song, Min-jae's is an odd choice, a vaguely unpleasant military-sounding march, and Hyun-gyu's is some kind of free-wheeling jazz saxophone thing. Are we to take their choices as indicative of their characters? I wonder how much of a hand the director and actors had in choosing them? And isn't it funny to hear a dreamy melody floating through the air and then realize it's coming from that b**ch RH's handbag?

the most annoying of all ring tones, in my opinion, was hye-ran's old cell. arggggghhhh, it drove me insane every time i heard it. i happen to have that offered on my cell; i think it's called "harp concerto." oh, and i noticed that Yu Jin's cell is beethoven's 5th symphony and Yu Kyung has Bach's Jesu. (i'm a music major I think all of them have samsung cell phones, cause i have a samsung and all of their ring tones are on mine.

Oh, wow, that's a very interesting insight about the Samsung phones. I assumed "they" (the characters, supposedly) would have downloaded those tunes deliberately to express themselves, but I guess not.

I can't quite put a finger on it, but for some reason Samsung, Korean dramas, and classical ringtones belong together. ;D

Ok, so I'm having dim sum with the family on a Saturday morning at a Chinese restaurant and what do I hear in the middle of popping a shrimp toast into my mouth, Hye Ran's ringtone!! Being the certifiable OMR addict that I am, I immediately did a double take and no, wasn't no former Miss Korea runner-up, just the Chinese father sitting at the next table with his family gorging on a plate of seafood chow mein (THAT I did notice! ;D). Silly me for wishfully thinking that it was Hye Ran calling to say she was "packed for Pacific Palisades" and leaving HK 4 good. ;D Another thing--when the new waiter ignored my call for a teapot refill, I had to restrain the urge to slap his sorry face while yelling "Neeinyon!" (a la Janggeum & AOW)! ;D So a word of caution to the growing number of Korean drama addicts out there: you can take the addict away from the Korean Drama (like blocking out the channel, hehe ;D), but you will never take the KD away from him/her! ;D

Actually, "Neinyon!" is to a female. To the waiter you would have said, "Neinnome!" (nyon--female, nome--male) p.s. I still havent gotten my password. Maybe I'll just be "Elb" instead of "Elbs" from now on. I don't think I can stand being "Elby" again.

That is what I am afraid of if I see someone that looks like Lady Choi from JG! I will chock her in 15 seconds.
Ring tones: One great one was tonight. I do not follow names here. I think they are great, change them weekly. I might get a cell phone JUST for the ring tones.
