Since the gentleman isn't close to Soon-ok, I think he did the right thing in telling her it was on sale. Even if he paid full price and told her it was on sale. It kinda of takes the pressure off of Soon-ok to accept the gift since it wasn't expensive and she needn't feel any obligation for accepting a less expensive gift. The man knows what he's doing. ;D

I don't think she did accept it. Boy, she sure has made a complete turn around since this show first started. Remember how materialistic she was in the beginning? Remember that time she "borrowed" one of Granny's high fashion purses? She also seems much less ditzy than she used to be. And at least she and TH are doing something positive to try to find out where HR is. Why hasn't Granny or MJ hired a private detective to trace HR? If I was her mother I would have already done that, just to know where my only daughter was living. Considering how sheltered she was until this whole break up, I wouldn't have a minutes rest not knowing her whereabouts.

I think this has everything to do with her working at the restaurant. She's earned Ki-soo and In-huan's respect (as much as IH is capable of, of course) with her attitude and her abilities. She's proud of herself, too. She isn't bobbing her head in shame all the time, she seems more willing to speak out. I'm impressed.
